Dueling Locks of the Week – Week 11

By: Jeremy Miller on Nov 21st, 2009

It was another painful week for the locks. I watched as the Saints stumbled against the Rams to get a close win, but not by the margin it should have been. Chris managed to not lose, but this is about picking winners so a push is about as good as kissing your sister. For this week we are both trying to dig out of the holes we have put ourselves in and get back in the win column. Here are our locks of the week:

Chris Slabaugh: Philadelphia -3 @ Chicago

This is essentially a playoff game for both of these teams as the loser will be sitting at .500 or worse in the Bears case. The Bears have been awful lately and I don’t see any reason for that to change against a Philly team that many predicted to go to the Super Bowl this year. The fact that Jay Cutler is going to have a hard time completing passes to the right team again this week against the Philly blitz, plus the fact that this is a homecoming game for Dononvan McNabb equals a big Philly win.

Locks Record: 3-4-1

Jeremy Miller: Minnesota -11 vs Seattle

Seattle has lost on the road my margins of 13, 17, 21, & 11 this season. This week they head to Minnesota to face a very good Vikings team who is undefeated at home this season. All signs point to an easy win for the Vikings, give the points to Favre and the Vikes and watch Seattle’s road woes continue.

Locks Record: 4-6
