Getting ready for the Colts slaughter...

Part of me believes we can win this one. If Matt Forte can put up 130 yards and look like a ROY candidate, Adrian Peterson should be able to top 200 yards and look like an MVP. If the Bears run defense can limit Joseph Addai, the Vikes run defense should be able to completely shut him down. If Peyton Manning was rusty against average corners, guys like Antonio Winfield should really be able to contain him.
Does it sounds like I'm trying to convince myself into this one? Because I am.
Indy is still the best team in the AFC imo, and in the league. Peyton looked terrible last week but it was essentially the preseason. If anyone can fix the Colts passing game, the Vikings pass defense should do the trick. It was as bad as always last week IMO, but the reversed Donald Driver long TD took away the biggest damage. Without Madieu Williams though, it's still way too easy to pass on this team. And the pass rush last week, although against an admittedly good OL, was pretty average again. Peyton should be able to stand and deliver in the pocket.
This week in one of my leagues, I'm managed to match myself up against a Colts fan with Peyton, Marvin, Dallas, and Vinatieri... and Adrian Peterson to boot. I don't like my chances.
Vikes should head to 0-2 tomorrow. This is going to be another of those years where we take too long to come together and then make a late run that comes up short again. Next week we get Steve Smith coming off his 2 week suspension, angry, against our terrible pass defense. Mark him down for about 14/225 and a couple TDs. Seriously, shoot me now. Gotta love being a Vikings fan. But hey, at least I get to watch Adrian Peterson.
Knock on wood...
