2007 Review, A Fantasy Perspective

Posted 12-24-2007 at 07:16 AM by dannywest
Version 1.4

Since I was a kid, all I've ever wanted to do was write, so when Mike offered me the chance to put out some fantasy articles this season, I jumped at the chance.

There was just one problem, what the hell should I write about?

My first idea was to write a weekly article about an athlete that came out of no where to have an incredible fantasy performance. But the truth is, not only was this boring for me to write, it was probably just as boring...

One Win Away...

Posted 12-09-2007 at 05:31 AM by dannywest
When #7 went down in week 12 against Washington Coach Gruden called upon Bruce Gradkowski, the same man he called upon to replace Chris Simms in 2006. However, after going only 9 for 19 for 106 yards, Gruden looked elsewhere when Jeff Garcia was unable to go in week 13.

Enter Luke McCown. 29 completions, 313 yards, 2 touchdowns and 1 win later Bucs' fans were left to question one thing: Why was McCown not given a shot last season?

In another league, with my first pick of the first round, I called upon Rudi Johnson. In both leagues, I'd have to say that Johnson was probably...

Steve Smith, A Fantasy Perspective

Posted 12-01-2007 at 06:16 AM by dannywest
Version 1.2

It's something that happens to us all, you draft a player regarded by most as one of the best and then that guy turns out to be a complete bust. Steve Smith, however, is not your average bust pick.

No, in the first two weeks of the season he combined for 15 catches for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns. There was no doubt that at this time you were feeling like Smith would be the definitive anchor of your recieving core. In the following three weeks, however,...

The NFC South Leading Bucs

Posted 11-25-2007 at 08:45 AM by dannywest
If you are looking for a prediction on today's Tampa Bay v. Washington game you will not find it here. No, for after predicting the Bucs to defeat the Jaguars, the Lions, and the Colts, all games which they lost, it has been decided that not only do I have no expertise in deciding the outcome of a game, but also that it was my cocky outlook on the game that cost Tampa Bay the win. So no, there will be no more predictions from this guy.

Regardless whether the Bucs beat the Skins or...
