Happy Days

Things are good in the City of Brotherly Love right now. Did we actually draft a potential superstar at WR? Holy cow, what’s going on here?
What can I say about last week’s game? I’m not surprised—extremely pleased, but not surprised.
The best part was not the offense, although it was awesome to see McNabb and Westbrook (and Jackson!!) out there having fun. Anyone who didn’t watch the game—Jackson did NOT look like a rookie out there. On one play he totally faked out the defender, who didn’t realize the ball was coming their way until it was in DeShaun’s hands. SWEET! The O-line was outstanding. Westie was his usual superstar self, and McNabb looks like he’s really over his rehab. He was cautious on at least one potential scramble, which was fine with me. There was no need to risk injury, especially during this blowout.
What pleased me the most was the D. Yes, ok, it’s the Rams, and they looked awful. But we’re talking about Torry Holt and Steven Jackson here. Holt was held to one catch for the second time in his career (or something like that), and Jackson got only 40 yards on 14 attempts.
Special Teams—well, Jackson again. I LOVE this guy. And Akers seems to have recovered his kicking strength.
Things are looking great right now. It’ll be interesting how we match up against Dallas this week—people are calling for a shootout, but you never know with these two. In any case, I’m really happy but I’ll keep my euphoria within limits—after all, we did have that great game against Detroit last year too.
