| | The Lions are the 3rd best defense to start this week? Am I reading this correctly? MIN is #1?? |

| | The Lions, through the course of the season, have been a decent fantasy defense, and this week they have the opportunity to do even better against an offense that tends to make many mistakes. The Vikings defense (in terms of fantasy) have been up at the top all year. They are good and creating turnovers and could have a field day coming after a slower McNabb. IDP stuff is on it's way. Linebackers are up, the rest are coming soon. Also, made a couple changes in the other rankings to update some player statuses. |

| | Looks good Mike, think Brees might really show up this weekend though and have a better game than everyone else. |

| | Lions on the road against CHI... insane. |

| | I'm listening, tell me why you don't like that ranking. Here are the values used when ranking team defenses: http://www.sofantasyfootball.com/nfl/rankings.php |

| | Reason? Two DEF TD's against CHI (at home) and 4 picks against MIN doesn't add up to a top 3 defense. Both of these events were anomalies and are the reason for their "big" weeks. These are chance performances. If you feel so strongly about them you I could see you ranking them as a serviceable bye-week filler, say at #11 or #12, but #3? Isn't that a bit of a stretch? Look at what they did against PHI and WAS. Thats what happens when the 30th ranked passing D and the 32nd ranked rushing D plays a decent offense on the road. |

| | It might be a stretch, but this is just how I see it for this week. They are #12 for the season in points in the scoring I am looking at, and 8 of the teams ahead of them haven't had a bye yet. So, in one less game, they are still up there with these teams. This week, they have a matchup that is favorable to defenses in terms of fantasy points. |

| | You make a logical argument. This is a hard job; I'm sure it doesn't make it any easier to get roasted by some nit-picky dweeb like me. I'm glad you are a good sport about it. I wouldn't even look at these rankings on a regular basis if I didn't think you did a good job. |

| | I welcome the questions. Hearing other points of view helps me to do the best job I can do. This is why I like this format. |
