Week 3 Preview - Bengals @ Giants

Posted 09-20-2008 at 07:19 PM by Miller
Well after the efforts of the first two weeks should we expect anything other then UGLY this week? I'll be honest....I don't. Not too many areas I can point to in this one and say we have an advantage. Here's how I see it going down tomorrow afternoon in the Meadowlands.

On offense:
Man has this been a disappointment so far. I'm actually going to be a little optimistic here. I'm not expecting a lights out performance, but I think Palmer gets it going a little. I expect him to be under constant pressure, but with the Giants secondary beat up a little, when he can get a little time, Chad and TJ should be able to find some openings. I look for both of them to get their first TD of the year and Palmer to go for around 220 -2 - 2. Perry will have another OK game, but will still be searching for his first 100 yard effort after this one. Unfortunatly, I don't think it will be enough as mistakes will hamper any shot they have.

On defense:
The Bengals D has been OK this year, definatly not good, but OK. If they could get some help from the offense I think they would look a little better. Unfortuantly it won't be this week. Big backs give this D fits and they don't get much bigger then Jacobs. He should have a big day and Eli should have all day to find receiver's and pick a part a beat up Bengals secondary. Look for the Giants to score early and often. I'd love to say we can slow them down some, but I don't think we can.

In the end, Giants double up the Bengals:

Bengals 17
Giants 34
