Wanted to share some thoughts from the game yesterday. It was a wild day. Started out very nice at the stadium, but Ike made his presence felt and when he did, boy was it interesting! That was some wind at the game, so while looking at the game stats, take this into consideration. No team was going to be a passing juggernaut in those conditions.

Now onto the actual game. I didn't expect much from the Bengals in this one and hey, at least I wasn't disappointed. The one bright spot...

Part of me believes we can win this one. If Matt Forte can put up 130 yards and look like a ROY candidate, Adrian Peterson should be able to top 200 yards and look like an MVP. If the Bears run defense can limit Joseph Addai, the Vikes run defense should be able to completely shut him down. If Peyton Manning was rusty against average corners, guys like Antonio Winfield should really be able to contain him.

This was supposed to be a game that the Lions could afford to lose. Unfortunately that's not the case this week as the Lions come into the game with a 0-1 record after a huge disappointment at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons.

This week is the home opener for Detroit and the fans are getting restless. The Packers looked very good beating the Vikings in an early division battle 24-19 in a Monday Night Football showdown, and would love to go 2-0 with both wins in their division. ...

Good read here. Odom is ready to prove to the Bengals and his old team that he is ready for this opportunity. He better be, because this defensive front needs him. They need him to be a difference maker. They need him to get after the passer. Sounds like he is jacked up about this game, I hope it shows on the field Sunday.
