Playoff Picture

My take on our playoff situation with three games left.

In:

Survivors: Deuce and the boys shook off a 1-3 start to rip off seven straight wins and rocket to the top of the league at 8-3. Survivors have an easy road to the finish, with two of their last three games against the 1-10 Destroyers, the Roids, and the Slayers, who were upset by the previously winless Destroyers last week.

Projected finish - 10-4 #2seed in the playoffs

Hollywood Cops: Another rags to riches story, shaking off an 0-2 start to go 7-2 and hold the two seed currently.

Finishing schedule is no gimmie after what should be a victory this week against the Roids. Week 14 game vs Texas Lightning maybe for a playoff spot

Projected Finish - 8-6

Mojos Outlaws: When this team is hitting on all cylinders, there is no one that can beat them. A deep, talented corps of WRs and the surprising Tony Romo have led Mojo all season long. Winnable games vs the Black Knights and Hollywood Cops are next, followed by the season finale at the woeful Destroyers.

Projected Finish - 10-4 #1 seed by points

South Bend Slayers: The Slayers started hot, thinking themselves the best in the league. Then the bottom fell out, culminating in a damaging upset loss to the Destroyers.

Ending schedule is no cupcake with the Lightning, Survivors, and Black Knights. Week 11 may have been a playoff killer.

Projected Finish - 7-7

Black Knights: A team prodded for its WR's, the Black Knights started hot at 5-2, but have since stumbled, going 1-3 over the last month while fighting injuries to Deion Branch and Adrian Peterson.

The Good News? Recently Aquired WR Roddy White, RB Jamal Lewis, and the return from injury of WR Deion Branch help this team battle the injury bug.

The Bad News? This team dropped a bad one to the Roids, with the winning points on the bench, and finishes with the Slayers, Mojo, and the Lighting, all dangerous teams.

Projected Finish: 8-6

Texas Lightning: Andre Johnsons loss KILLED this team. Excellent trade and waiver wire work have willed them back into contention for the last playoff spot.

A late season run is VERY possible with this team, but no guarentees.

Projected Finish: 6-8

The Ragin Roids and Conan the Destroyer have both already clinched spots in the consolation bracket.

That loss definitely hurt. My kind of luck. (We are still the best.)

When your on your team is pretty damn good. He was due, and the talk around the offices of the Lightning, Knights, and Cops the last three weeks has been who was going to break that streak.

You've got LT gunning down the stretch for the AFC West. Should be an interesting three weeks.

I have a near MUST win this week vs Mike

John i am rooting for you to beat Mike as well... I would just like to point out that I have been winning w/o players I drafted. I dont know how I have kept it up and I hope to win out the rest but with players like Schaub, curtis, marshall, Henry, Jacobs all waiver wire pickups I dont know how i am competing with the Brady, LT, TO, Romo, Moss etc. in the world. I would love my qb and wide receivers back by the playoffs so i can march out my best squad out there. Mojo is the team to beat, just like i predicted out the gate and hopefully someone beats him before he get to me in the finals.

While mt team hasn't looked the best on paper, we have found a way to win this season. Having 2 of the top QB's has really helped me out.

Looks like nothing has been answered this week. Barring a huge game from Heath Miller and Hines Ward doing nothing the Slayers will win this one. Unfortunately the Black Knights are going to beat MoJo, and Conan has become a force to be reckoned with . Next week will be huge for everyone.

My team kind of had a letdown across the board this week, and Sgt. John's players had career weeks.

Wow the Pitt. D pitches a shutout and Roethlisberger does nothing for the MOJO win. Definitely changes the looks of things.

Well, I won again, and that's all I can do, but MOJO is looking to take me down a peg. I can only hope that the GB D can take Romo and TO down a peg. It's my only shot at winning this week.

South Bend in pain with a titanic letdown at QB.

Knights and Lightning fighting to try and tie South Bend for a week 14 battle for the last playoff spot.

Could come down to total pts. to see who makes the playoffs. Anything could happen this week with MOJO the only team assured of a playoff spot. (HIIIINEEES WAAAAAARDDDDD!!!!)

Mr Slayers was right. Texas Lightning defeated the Hollywood Cops 121 to 114 to tie up at 8 wins each, and thanks to superior total points, the Lightning win the 4 seed and advance to the championship round.

Mojo....Slayers.....Survivors...Lightning. Let there be war.

Lets also not forget that the Lightning did this without its top WR, Andre Johnson, for most of the season. Mojo "might" have his hands full next week.

I would just like to say that I have had a lot of fun in the inagural Death From Above League. In fact it has probably been my favorite aside from my money league. I hope that if it does remain intact I will remain a part. Good Luck Playoff Teams

Well, couldn't pull it out for a playoff spot. That's ok. Great year everybody. Very competitive.
