Yea, I guessed it might, but figured this was easier. Oh well.

He is #1 on Street and Smith's Top 250.

Projected stats:
.291/44/97/35

....while playing half his games in the friendly confines of Wrigley. So, who would you take?

dont want to name drop and havent read even one page of fantasy baseball this year, but i just find it hard to believe that hes the #2 (or #1) player in fantasy baseball. hes at an easy position to fill, hits for poor averages, and i doubt he'll be used to steal much in chicago. this seems like a case of a guy who signed for big bucks in new york a few years ago and everyone felt compelled to draft him in the top 3 because of his all around talent, and he was a real disappointment. hey, im a cubs fan. i just find it hard to believe that soriano could really be the #2 guy. we'll see after these next few picks if i prefer any of them to alfy.

I will say this, Soriano could be huge this year. I think the whole Wrigley Field factor has him a little high, but who knows. We all think we know it all at the start of the season.

There is a second tier of players that typically get drafted between #2 and #7 or so that are basically interchangeable, and Soriano is most definitely in that grouping. Give him a 10% decline and he's still 35/35 in a way better lineup and home park than last year.

Is this going to be a mid-season league, or do we need to step it up a little in the draft? We're looking at mid-May at this rate.

Wow...that was fast for the first complaint.

Seriously, this is a new league, and some new members, so it will pick up once everyone gets into a groove.

I'm not complaining, just asking a question. I agree that it should pick up once people get into the rotation.

I've seen all 4 guys at picks 1.2-1.5 go at #2 overall... This year's first 2 rounds are absolutely stacked. Normally I'm not a huge fan of the #1 pick overall, but just watch and see who gets teamed with Albert.. I guarantee it will be someone with 1st round production.

We'll get the league drafted by opening day. Don't worry about that.

Looking at the bright side for the procrastinators in the league....

Not very often can you do your draft preparation WHILE your actually drafting !!!!

This is the beauty of an "on-line" draft. If you see a guy you like you can check his stats out without holding everyone else in the league up.
