NFL - Who will win Super Bowl XLII?

Bet will remain open until the end of August. Rosters are pretty much set at this point, so let's place those bets!

FYI, the odds will be adjusted periodiocally on these and the bet will be reopened as the year goes on. The odds when you place the bet, are the odds you will be locked it at.

i.e: Today I place a 1k bet on Cincinnati at 15:1 odds. In October the team is hot, the odds are 8:1 and I place another 1k bet at the 8:1 odds. If they are your winner, I win 15k for the 15:1 bet and 8k for the 8:1 bet.

I think I'll go with LT and the Bolts.

Well, I think San Diego finally does it. NE seems to have its head up its ass this year where personnel are concerned and unfortunately for the Colts they're not immune to the Super Bowl Hangover.

The Pats look really good this year, but the way everybody's been talking about them, it sounds like they have a bigger target on them than Indy does. I just feel like NE will get knocked out in the AFC championship again. Too many teams look good right now for me really to put any real guesses out there, but if I have to, it'll be San Diego.

I don't know exactly what qualifies as "really good". I mean, the Moss experiment has already just about crash landed and that on its own is going to fuck with the team.

there is no way in the world san diego wins the super bowl this year. i got vbux behind that too if anyone wants to lay cash on the line over it. its not happening. better chance at them missing the playoffs altogether.

Unfortunately I'm flat broke, but I put my grand down here and I'll take those 6/1 odds.

New England has too many weapons. They stay healthy, they win the World Championship.

The Bears beat the Patriots?

Explain that one to me? I just dont see anyway in hell that in that match up, the Bears can stop the New England Offense. Slow it down? Sure, they can potentially hold NE to around 27 points.

Now how the hell does Grossman and the Bears score on NE? I couldnt see more than 17 or so..including a FG for the Bears after a turnover.

For Dallas to do it we need to hold on to the damn ball on kicks

Im pretty sure the Bears D can hold down the Hawk offense. The saints have the weapons to outscore them.

I think the 49ers are in good position to best the Seahawks.

Bottomline, the NFC is a crap shoot

Bears got lucky against a struggling 'Hawks team coming back from multiple injuries

I thought so last year, but I don't think they will get that far this year

Agreed, but I think it is a year or 2 away

Seattle has recovered from the injuries, Have improved the 1st and 2nd lines of Defence which was always their weakest points. I would think now that the biggest weaknesses are age, and secoundary. We'll see how good some of the back-ups are when some of the vets start retiring in the next couple years. In the mean-time, unless the injury bug returns they are the best overall team in the NFC
