will be interesting to see what happens if alabama wins. a simple substitution would make sense obviously, so that the sugar bowl would match up ohio state and florida then. i assume florida will still make the bcs over against boise state. but im not sure they'd do that matchup. not after that embarassment a few years ago. i think it might switch to ohio state / texas (that good rivalry from a few years back, except with the new vince young on the other squad) and then florida / utah (the urban meyere bowl).

also interesting to see what happens if oklahoma loses to missouri somehow. who knows what happens then? presumably texas heads to the title game, but i could see voters working usc in there instead. and im not sure if oklahoma keeps a bcs draw at all. at that point it might come down to oklahoma vs texas tech vs boise state for the last spot. boise could actually get a look if that was the case, instead of a team coming off a loss or a team that lost to said team by 3483.

it'll be a shame to see boise just play on the blue turf one more time to end the season. why not at least put them in one of the new years bowls like outback, cap one, or gator? the sec and big 12 are all lacking enough eligible teams anyway. or, just as good, how about finding a way to match up boise and ball state in a bowl? you dont think people would tune in to watch that?

They have said they wanted to match up Boise and Ball St but Ball St has turned down the idea.

Wouldn't make any sense for Ball State to risk their undefeated season playing on Boise's home field.

I honestly haven't seen a much more impressive team than Boise this year. They can beat you in every facet of the game. Ball State has one of the more impressive offenses I've seen. TCU is still the most impressive defense I've watched. I personally think Utah is over-rated. If they had to have played that game at TCU, I think TCU would have beat them.

I'll say one thing, I would want no part of Mississippi right about now. They beat Florida, and lost by 4 to Alabama. They took a bit to put it all together, but there is no hotter team right now imo than the Rebels. If they did get matched up against Texas Tech, how entertaining would that game be?

It would be a month from now. I'm sure they'll both be fine by then.

it would also be wildly entertaining to watch clement and dillard tear up a school like notre dame to end their careers after being shunned by all the big time schools a few years ago...

I screwed the first post up so I went another direction, moved the Bowl Confirmations to a new thread and will update as Duk posts them.
