Florida State today announced the loss of starting left guard Evan Bellamy who will miss the entire season because of a blood clot in his leg. Bellamy, a redshirt sophomore, is expected to miss six months as he recovers.

Bellamy played in 10 games last season, including his first career start in the Music City Bowl. Projected replacement Jacob Stanley has no game experience.

Bellamy will definitely be missed, as two backup offensive linemen will also be missing for the first three games because of the suspensions handed down after FSU's widely publicized academic scandal last season.

This marks the first time since 2003 the Seminoles will not filed at least one senior offensive lineman.
