| Genibus Nitito Canus Premium Member Forum Leader | Who is overrated so far? Florida State. They have beaten NO ONE. No way they should be in the Top 25 at this point. USC. I still dont buy it.

| Outlaw | I agree on USC. I'm not buying into Oklahoma either. I am interested to see how they do in the bowl game this year since they have lost to Boise State 2 years ago and then got slapped by West Virginia last year. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | what is not to buy about usc so far? theyve absolutely crushed two bcs opponents, one of which is the favorite to win their conference even still. what more convincing do you need?

| Outlaw | I agree once again with Sarge. Ohio State was not a top 5 team in my opinion, and I dont believe they are a top 10 team without beanie. And the big ten has never played well on the west coast. USC also crushed Virginia who on espn they have as one of the worst ten teams this year. |

| Outlaw | When you say you are not convinced about USC, you have to be talking about University of South Carolina, right? You can't possibly be talking about Southern Cal. Name one team that could play with USC? Whatever team you just named, you're wrong. |

| Who Me? Admin | wow.....USC?? Did you guys watch the same team that I did? I'm convinced. And if you don't think the OSU is a top 10 team your smoking focking CRACK! With or without Beanie, that is still a VERY good team. Elite, no, but still VERY good.

| Who Me? Admin | I think the over-rated team is Georgia. They are solid, but not great. In fact, they may be the 3rd or 4th best team in the SEC behind Fla, LSU, and Auburn (thougth AUhas some work to do on offense, D is scary though). |

| Outlaw | When was the last time OSU beat someone of any significance outside of the big 10? The last few times I remember them playing someone good outside of conference they have gotten smacked. And since beanies been gone Ohio State has had a close game with Ohio U. and got destroyed by USC so im pretty sure my comment about them not being a top ten team without beanie looks pretty good right now. I guarantee Florida, Georgia, and maybe Oklahoma could play with USC. They beat on Ohio State and everyone thinks they are so damn good. But since you guys feel that USC is so good then if they are we will see about that in the national championship. I would like to see how Sanchez does when hes not throwing screen passes the whole game. |

| TO THE DEATH | USC has looked impressive. They did look good against a good Ohio State Defense, But without Ohio State's offense, they are going to give up points because they will lose field position. Ohio State with Beanie is a good team, that's it. Without him, they don't belong in the top 10, and maybe not even the top 20. USC rally hasn't beaten anyone yet. They beat Virginia, who is a joke this year. They beat a Ohio State team who got pushed to their limit by the 0-3 Ohio Bobcats of the mighty mid-american conference. USC should have put up 50 on Ohio State. As of right now, USC has no one on their schedule that should really threatne them. Only one of their oppenents left on the schedule is currently ranked, and that's #17 Oregon. No one on their schedule should be able to touch them. Does that make them the best team or means that their unbeatable? No. There are several teams that could go toe to toe with USC. Missouri, Oklahoma, Florida, and Alabama are teams that come to mind that could go toe to toe wih USC. USC is a hype machine built on the backs of teams that cannot compete with the country's elite teams. There are 2 top 25 teams in the PAC10. All Ive heard for years is how "tough" the PAC10 is. Try playing in the Big 12 where there are 5 top 25 teams, 4 of which are in the top 15, and 3 of which are in the top 7. This is a conference that through the first 3 weeks, still has 7 undefeated teams. The SEC has 5 teams ranked in the top 10 and still has 8 teams undefeated through the first 3 weeks of the season. It comes down to this, until this USC team actually beats someone that has any significant value to the national title race, Im not going to buy their hype. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | give me a break. ohio state has "significant value towards the national title race." theyve been there the last two seasons, and they woulde almost certainly been there again this season had they beat usc last week (and they might still anyway if they run the table). what team has a better resume right now than usc? who has a better win on the resume? what other offenses have moved the ball at will against two of the top defenses in the league statistically from last season (and osu returned pretty much everyone)? do i have my doubts? yeah i do because usc does not play at that level all season (who does?) and always seems to choke one away. but for NOW i dont see how they are overrated or anything but #1. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | also dont even TRY to compare the big 12 to the pac 10 or sec. the big 12 has 4 or 5 teams in the top 25 because there are a handful of just terrible teams, easy wins, and then the 4 or 5 top teams only play like 2 of the other top teams because the conference is so big. at least the pac 10 is a round robin so you dont just luck out and not play usc and cal some season or something ridulous like what happened with kansas last season in the big 12. |

| Genibus Nitito Canus Premium Member Forum Leader | The Pac 10 is round robin because they dont have a title game. West Coast East Coast BS is fodder for another thread. The Pac 10 is currently 0-5 against the Mountain West Conference this season. But they play a round robin format so I therefore should be impressed? I'll pass. |

| Outlaw | Yea Ohio State will run the table most likely against the BIG 10. You act like thats impressive or something. This same team has ran through the big ten the previous two seasons and gotten smacked when they played someone of any significance. This "great" defense ohio state has shuts down the big 10. Wow they must be good. But when they played teams like LSU, FlA, and USC teams with good offenses they allowed 35 against USC, 41 to FLA, and 38 to LSU. The point is if Ohio States defense is so good hows come they never show up in the big games? Even against Michigan 2 years ago when they were playing each other to go to the NC game they allowed like 38 points to them. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | im not comparing anythign to the SEC. the SEC is professional football compared to the rest of the BCS conferences. you could take the SEC and maybe 3 other teams each year (usc always plus teams like OU or texas), and you'd have your own interesting little football league. nothing else is even comprable including the big 10, big east, acc, and all the rest of the big 12 and pac 10. the SEC is just that far and away more dominant than the rest. ohio state got bumrushed by a pair of SEC teams in the title game, and so would have everyone else. as far as im concerned, the title game should be the winner of the SEC vs the best other BCS team. thats a real title game. just change it to that and get it over with. |

| a.k.a. Kingdome | The round robin is a true championship. I wish all conferences were forced to drop down to 10 team conferences with 9 conference games. For example Iowa last year didn't have to pay either Ohio State or Michigan. Thank goodness they sucked, or they could have jacked away a BCS slot from a more deserving team. |

| Who Me? Admin | ![]() This over reaction crap is quite funny. OSU will still make a BCS Bowl, and has a very good shot to win that Bowl. So now that OSU got beat by USC, USC is really not that good and OSU all of a sudden is garbage??? And OSU is garbage b/c we lost to the best team in the country each of the last three years??? Give me a break, and wake up. OSU is a top 10 team. They will be a top 10 team at the end of the year and will win the Big 10. You think that is crap, fine, but they will still end up in the Rose Bowl. As far as bringing up Oklahoma, who have they beat? how have they faired in lesser BCS games against lesser teams?? Yet Oklahoma is suddenly a big game team that can give USC a game?? It really worked for them in 2004 didn't it! Fact is SEC and USC (when they are not sleep walking through the Pac 10) are on a different playing field, I can admit that. However, all that means is OSU is a notch below, but there are not 10 better teams out there. |

| a.k.a. Kingdome | I have seen Ohio State, USC, and Oklahoma first hand in the past 12 months and nobody looked as good as Oklahoma did. USC would have looked better had two of their starting OL not been injured in the same play on top of many other injuries that day. USC was so beat up, they lost to Stanford the following week. |
