| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | that would be my fault. i have OU at #5. i think they've been the 5th most impressive team in the league so far this year at this point, factoring schedule and how strongly they've played. but its a moot point after this week, where the OU/UT winner almost certainly gets my new #1 vote with the best win of the season. i cant understand how ohio state is ranked equal to usc at all. i mean i know its just cuz miller is worth 1/3 of the votes, but come on, what do you have osu 2 and usc at like 15th or something? dont understand it. osu is coming around, and they're back in my rankings now as well, but not equal to usc or close.

| Who Me? Admin | I have OSU the same as last week, so I'm guessing the increase is coming from you and Sarge........and when USC and Fla stop losing to unranked and unworthy opponents they will start to re-gain what they lost two weeks ago. As unimpressive as OSU looked against USC, USC then looked just as unimpressive against a much lesser team in Oregon st......for me, who you lose to and when you lose DOES matter. But so you can stop making ignorant comments like
1. Oklahoma 2. LSU 3. Texas 4. Alabama 5. Penn St 6. Missouri 7. Ohio State 8. Texas Tech 9. USC 10. Florida 11. BYU 12. Boise State 13. Utah 14. Vanderbilt 15. Kansas For me, the top 6 is clear cut, you can just argue about their place in the top 6 IMO. 7-10 is also pretty close. I also noticed i forgot Georgia this week....that was a mistake, not intentional. They would be #11 on my list and bump the rest down 1 and Kansas out. It will all change once again next week though so no big deal. But 7-11 would be pretty close then BYU, Boise, Utah, and Vandy rounding it out. | |||

| Who Me? Admin | I knew LSU would jump as soon as his votes came in. I actually have them very close to Oklahoma and depending on how each look this weekend, if LSU goes to the swamp and comes out with a win, they may just go ahead the Okla/Texas winnder depending on how both winners look. OMG, someone else with OSU over USC.....guess he's a homer too..... |

| Genibus Nitito Canus Premium Member Forum Leader | I have them that way too. I am not saying it would have made a difference, but USC beat Ohio State sans Wells, then flopped HARD against Oregon State. Ohio State hasnt looked that great against anyone yet, but they are still fighting for something and havent lost to an opponent like Oregon State. Long way to go yet. Im waiting for Penn State vs Ohio State. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | to me, ohio state has proven absolutely nothing, they've beaten no one, and they haven't been impressive at all. that i have them ranked at all is a vote of confidence in the program and in tressel, and in the hope of a better future with pryor and a healthy wells. its the one program i have ranked just because i believe theyre better than ive seen. what ive seen is not a top 25 squad. what ive seen is northwestern, but with a usc blowout in there. |

| Who Me? Admin | And that is why you have a vote, and everyone else does as well. Were not all going to see it the same way....4 have voted....3 have OSU above USC....just the way those three see it. |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | doesnt make any logical sense to me to have usc below ohio state. later in the season with a fuller body of work, maybe i can buy it. but when most teams have 4 or 5 games, i cant see ranking a H2H loss team ahead of the H2H winner under any scenario. unfortunately both conferences are so weak that it looks probable that both squads could go the rest of the way without legit challenges. it'd be hilarious if they do and then end up as a rose bowl rematch. then we can see which of them ought to be ranked higher. ![]() |

| Richest Vman Alive Forum Leader | i meant teams that have the same record. sorry, that is obviously an important clarification. obviously im not going to rank a 2-3 team ahead of a 4-1 team, even if the "1" was to the 2-3 squad. |

| Outlaw | Does anyone remember that list from game 1 of NCAA history that kept a running history of who the number 1 team in the nation is by who beat the last team who had beat the last team who had beat the last team from who had won the first game in history, etc ? |

| College Football Guru | I always start my polls with the National Champion being #1, and keep them there till they lose. Just so happens it's LSU this year. I figured the AU game would tell a lot about how the Tigers would run this season; however, that is obviously up in the air at this point with the way Barner's season is turning out. We will find out a lot this weekend about the Tigers. My thoughts behind OSU ahead of USC is the inexcusable USC loss. That coupled with Wells being out for the USC/OSU game and Pryor having since taken over the reins has me thinking OSU is the better team at this point. I do realize this is extremely debatable at this point...and the remaining 2 schedules doesn't look to solve this debate. |
