Ads turned off for forum members!

They bother me

I'm enjoying the hell out of these faster page loads, LOL.

As I said, the ads didn't totally go away, they will still show to guests. Once the site grows and we set up an ad program, we will likely be selling on a "per impression" rate anyhow, and advertisers will like the fact that we don't show ads to members, as the conversion to members on a forum is virtually nothing.

If anything, it gives yet another incentive to register, and faster forum growth.

They were never a big deal on this end either. Never really paid much attention to them to even notice them much. Now that they are gone, i am going to wonder what i am missing. LOL.

I never minded the ads either. Actually clicked on em sometimes because there was something of interest.

I got a couple like that. That one there, a friend sent to me a long time ago. Not sure where she got it from.

Ads never bothered me either, Mike. Obviously your call but if you get more money out of having the ads displayed for members, I'd keep them, man.

Going to think about this a little, given the responses by most in this thread. Was actually expecting an entirely opposite response, and even a little extra revenue can always help toward improving things with the site down the road.
