This story just keeps getting better. The man being accused obviously has motive to toss Pac-Man under the bus, but at the same time if this all was true would it shock anyone? Stay Tuned....

That makes him ineligible to participate in the 2008 season, but guarantees him his $807,500 salary for the year. He is currently free on $14,500 bail. Just what he needs, Rookie Forte has to take a big jump at this point. Police used pepper spray to subdue Benson after he failed an on-boat sobriety test and refused to put on a life jacket. Among 12-15 people aboard, Benson was the only one taken into custody. And this isn't his first infraction. Ced Ben was found guilty of breaking into a woman's house as a collegiate in '04 and arrested in 2002 on marijuana charges. Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals fired pro scout Rashaan Curry last week. Kent Somers, of The Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals fired college scout Bill DeKraker Thursday, May 1. Looks like a changing of the guard taking place among the Cardinals scouting personnel. For those of you who were getting concerned about WR Anquan Boldins' status you can breathe a little easier. Boldin showed up to camp and sounds like he intends to Practice (once his hammy is feeling better), Play and get a new contract the old fashioned way, by earning it! Mike Sando, of ESPN.com, reports Arizona Cardinals WR Anquan Boldin (hamstring) does not want to be traded. Boldin attended the team's post-NFL Draft camp and shot down all trade talk. "I've always wanted to be in Arizona," Boldin said. "This is the only place I have known professionally. I don't want to uproot my family and leave. I am happy here. I have a great rapport with everybody around here, coaches included. I am happy here." Boldin did not take part in the camp due to a sore hamstring. |

| Outlaw | Jeremy Shockey TE NYG Despite being unable to strike a draft-day deal, the Saints reportedly may continue their pursuit of Jeremy Shockey. Unless they're willing to send strong safety Roman Harper to New York, however, the Saints might lack the ammunition to get a deal done. Coach Sean Peyton would love to add Shockey to his offense, but he'll require a new contract and possibly 2009 draft picks on top of a starting player Brandon Jackson is expected to be Ryan Grant's primary backup this season. DeShawn Wynn, Vernand Morency, and Noah Herron are also in the mix, but coach Mike McCarthy is pleased with Jackson's development. To keep the role, he'll have to be more decisive and better in blitz pickup in game settings |

| Bloggin' Outlaw Premium Member Moderator | SeaHawks Guard SImms To Get Scoped The Seattle Seahawks announced Monday starting guard Rob Sims will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Sims will be operated on Tuesday at the Seattle Surgery Center by Dr. Ed Khalfayan, a team orthopedist. Sims won't be able to take part in the Seahawks' four-day veteran minicamp that began Monday morning at team headquarters in Kirkland. Sims is expected to be the Seahawks' starting right guard this season. He started at left guard last season, but moved to the right side after the team signed former Pro Bowl guard Mike Wahle in February. The Seahawks also released two players and signed two others. Defensive tackle Kelly Talavou and wide receiver Travis Brown were cut, and the team signed defensive tackle Kevin Brown and wide receiver Joel Filani. Brown was given a minicamp tryout with the team this past weekend. Filani was a sixth-round selection by the Tennessee Titans in the 2007 NFL draft who most recently spent time with the Minnesota Vikings. Sounds like just a cleanup procedure so he will probably be good to go by the season. ESPN - Sims to miss Seahawks' veteran minicamp because of surgery - NFL |

The thought has nothing to do with Mendenhall's running style. It has to do with the way Bettis -- a future Hall of Famer -- embraced and tutored Parker as a rookie, which eventually led to Pittsburgh winning a Super Bowl their second year together in 2005. Diehl's reward is a new deal that compensates him for the importance of protecting Eli Manning's blindside. The Giants recently ripped up the former left guard's old contract and rewarded him with a new six-year, $31 million contract. The key to the deal is annual escalator clauses that increase Diehl's salaries between $750,000 and $1.1 million a year as long as he plays offensive tackle. | Outlaw | As expected, rookie Limas Sweed opened at the "X" position behind Santonio Holmes at the Steelers' first round of minicamps. Sweed will push Nate Washington to be the Steelers' third receiver, but isn't a threat to Holmes' split end job. Offensive coordinator Bruce Arians thinks Sweed also "can play the slot, no problem." Wide receivers coach Randy Fichtner expects Sweed to pass Washington on the depth chart. |

GM Bill Polian downplayed the possibility last week, but it looks like posturing now. Don't assume Rhodes is a lock to backup Joseph Addai, but he looks like the favorite over sixth-round pick Mike Hart, with Kenton Keith the likely odd man out. Whoever wins the backup job is going to be worth a late-round fantasy pick. May. 6 - 6:03 pm et |
