Shaun Alexander (knee, wrist) will practice on Wednesday, but Maurice Morris (ankle) will not take part in the workout.

Bills coach Dick Jauron said Wednesday that he is not optimistic about Anthony Thomas' chances of playing in Week 13.

Luke McCown is expected to be the Bucs' starting QB in Week 13.

Marc Bulger (concussion) missed Rams practice Wednesday.

Donovan McNabb (ankle, thumb) did not practice Wednesday, making it unlikely that he will start in Week 13 against the Seahawks.

Bengals did not activate RB Chris Perry from the Physically Unable to Perform list, ending his season.

Alright this makes no sense to me. At this point in the season if I'm the Vikes I'm trying to keep my future star healthy and upping the trade value of the guy I know I'm going to want to get something for this off season in Taylor. Why put a guy like AP 2.0 back on the field at this point in the season when you know what you have in him as a player?

Adrian Peterson was lobbying hard last week pre-game to play. The coaching staff has been more reluctant about putting him in. Peterson wants to get back on the field because he has a lot of incentive bonuses in his contract. One of the reasons he was signed up fairly quick was he accepted these bonus clauses in lieu of more money up front.

ESPN.com reports Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson earned a one-time, $2.45 million bonus when he reached 701 yards this season. Peterson can add $2.5 million to his 2010 salary if he rushes for more then 1,000 yards in two of his first three seasons. If he rushes for 1,300 yards he adds another $1 million to his 2011 salary, which is set to begin at $3.94 million. If he passes 1,300 yards twice he would add $3 million to the $3.94 million total. If Peterson can rush for 2,000 yards or 20 touchdowns he would add $1 million to his 2011 salary. Peterson is also eligible for a $250,000 bonus if he is rookie of the year, MVP or Super Bowl MVP. That could possibly allow Peterson to earn $40.5 million through the life of his five-year contract.

I should probably be blogging this valuable insight.

Bucs QB Jeff Garcia didn't practice on Wednesday. At this point he is expected to practice at some time this week but to what extent and how effective he will be is questionable. He will probably be a game day decision at best and speculation is growing that QB Luke McCown may be the starter this weekend in New Orleans.

Rams QB Marc Bulger didn't practice Wednesday. He was to see a specialist to evaluate his concussion. We will probably hear some more about this later but it could end up just being smoke blown our way.

Eagles QB Donavan McNabb missed Wednesdays practice. Donavan says there is a good possibility he will play this week. Andy Reed says McNabbs' ankle is still swollen and that he is day to day. Reed also specified that if healthy McNabb is the starter for the Eagles.

Giants WR Plaxico Burress When it comes to Plaxico we have come to accept that he has a bad ankle won't practice but will be fine and play and be productive as well. I just want to mention that Plaxico missed practice Wednesday. Nothing new, except he was receiving treatment on a sore knee also. So if you got him you should pay a little more attention to this weeks injury reports.

Coach already answered this, but there is another angle to consider. The NFC has two teams (Green Bay and Dallas) that are head and shoulders above all of the other teams. The Vikes actually still have a good chance at the playoffs. Their remaining schedule is weak and if they can run the table, they may just make the playoffs. Combine that with Peterson wanting to run for money, and the Vikes coaching staff will have a hard time saying, No.

Plaxico Burress' status for Week 13 is reportedly uncertain due to knee and ankle injuries.

The Giants' local papers usually expect Burress to play on Sundays despite sitting out practice during the week, but that's changed now due to the added knee ailment. Plax was taken to the city Wednesday to have the injuries looked at by doctors. At best, it appears he'll be a game-day decision against the Bears, as there's virtually no chance of him practicing this week

The New York Daily News reports that "from all indications," Jerricho Cotchery's hurt index finger is a "significant injury" that could keep him out in Week 13 against the Dolphins.

Dwayne Jarrett (knee) is listed as doubtful for Week 13.

Vinny Testaverde (back) went through another full practice on Friday and is on track to start in Week 13 against San Francisco.

Troy Polamalu (sprained knee) indicated that he wouldn't be able to play this Sunday against the Bengals.

Clinton Portis (back) is listed as probable for Week 13.

Larry Fitzgerald (groin) was limited in practice again Friday and will be a game-time decision Sunday against Cleveland.

Chad Johnson (knee), T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back), and Kenny Watson (hip) all practiced fully Friday and are listed as probable for Week 13.
