The ankle injury Jesse Chatman re-aggravated in Week 13 is not expected to prevent him from playing Sunday against the Bills.

"All indications" point to Chris Redman starting for the Falcons Monday night versus New Orleans, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Santonio Holmes and Troy Polamalu are not on the Steelers' Week 14 injury report.

Selvin Young (bruised elbow) and Andre Hall (ankle) both worked without restrictions at Broncos practice Wednesday.

Jesse Chatman (ankle) missed his second straight practice Thursday.
This isn't a good sign. The South Florida Sun-Sentinel reports there's "growing concern" that Chatman won't be available against Buffalo

Duce Staley has officially retired, and will be celebrated by the Eagles at halftime of this week's Eagles-Giants game

Texans coach Gary Kubiak says he's shooting for Matt Schaub (shoulder) to return in Week 15 against the Broncos

Ahman Green (knee) was limited in Texans practice Thursday, but took more reps than he handled in Wednesday's workout.

It appears as though Green will return to the game-day roster against Tampa Bay, barring setbacks
YEAH RIGHT!!!!

Falcons coach Bobby Petrino confirmed Thursday that Chris Redman will be his starting quarterback Monday night against the Saints

Bills placed RB Anthony Thomas on injured reserve with a torn calf muscle, ending his season.

Bills coach Dick Jauron is optimistic about Marshawn Lynch's (ankle) chances of playing Sunday against Miami

Cowboys | Newman put on notice
Thu, 6 Dec 2007 14:11:41 -0800

The Associated Press reports Dallas Cowboys CB Terence Newman has been put on notice Thursday, Dec. 6, by the league after his comments relating to his desire for revenge on Detroit Lions QB Jon Kitna. "Basically what it boils down to is you've got to watch what you say. Your mouth can't write checks that your [expletive] can't cash. That's what it comes down to," Newman said. "Everybody's going to see those quotes. He better just hope I don't blitz off the edge, because I've got 15, 25, 30 [thousand dollars], however much it would be for a fine. I've got that much for one fine. Revenge will be sweet definitely."

If a dude ever wanted to get seriously hurt by an offensive lineman or a runningback on blitz pick-up, this is the way to go about it.

Steelers S Troy Polamalu is unlikely to play against the Patriots.

Bills DE Chris Kelsay (ankle) is out for Week 14.

Bengals FS Madieu Williams (thigh) is expected to be inactive Sunday

Brett Favre (elbow, left shoulder) "threw the ball well" in practice Friday, according to Packers coach Mike McCarthy.

The Packers are targeting Week 15 for Bubba Franks to rejoin the lineup.

Jeff Garcia (back) will be a game-time decision at Houston on Sunday.

Marshawn Lynch (ankle) practiced with the Bills' starters again Friday and is listed as questionable to face the Dolphins.

Despite an earlier report saying Jerricho Cotchery may play this week, he now appears very unlikely to suit up

ESPN is reporting that Reggie Bush has a PCL tear and may miss the rest of the season. The team has confirmed the report, and Bush is seeking a 2nd opinion.

The Associated Press reports Santonio Holmes "struggled" through Friday's practice, but he is not on the Steelers' injury report

Vikings placed DE Erasmus James on injured reserve, ending his season.

Another setback in an injury plagued career. The No. 18 overall pick in 2005 is believed to have re-tore the same ACL he ruptured last year. It's an injury that may threaten his status for 2008 and will likely affect his explosiveness. With Ray Edwards already suspended for the rest of the regular season, Brian Robison in the Vikings' new starting right end.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh (probable, back) practiced fully on Friday.

Chad Johnson wasn't on this week's injury report and practiced all week.

Larry Fitzgerald (groin) and Anquan Boldin (toe) will both be game-time decision Sunday against the Seahawks

Texans placed RB Ahman Green on injured reserve, ending his season

Marc Bulger (concussion) didn't feel well after practicing Thursday and is listed as questionable for Week 14.

Rams signed QB Todd Bouman, formerly of the Jaguars

Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed Friday that Reggie Bush has a torn PCL in his left knee, but is hopeful Bush can play on Monday night.

"If you just study the history of PCL injuries, I know they vary with each player, but it is an injury that you come back from," Payton said. "We'll monitor where he's at." Bush practiced without restrictions on Thursday, but felt sore on Friday and that led to an MRI which revealed the damage. The odds still seem heavily against Bush playing versus the Falcons

Aaron Stecker will take over as the Saints' starting running back following Reggie Bush's likely season-ending PCL tear.

Patriots | Harrison fined
Fri, 7 Dec 2007 18:11:11 -0800

Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports New England Patriots S Rodney Harrison has been fined $5,000 for unsportsmanlike conduct during the team's Week 13 game, according to the NFL Network. Harrison was deemed to have unnecessarily taunted Baltimore Ravens head coach Brian Billick during an interception return.

A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that Reggie Bush believes he tore his PCL over a month ago and won't play again this year.

Then maybe he should've had the MRI when he first thought he got hurt. Bush wasn't shaking defenders consistently early in the season, so if he was playing through a torn PCL the last four weeks, few would've noticed.

Sources tell the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that Marc Bulger (concussion) will not play Sunday at Cincinnati.

Brock Berlin is expected to make his first career start (and throw his first career pass), which crushes any hope for Isaac Bruce being a good fantasy play and makes Torry Holt risky

Brodie Croyle (probable, back) participated in a complete practice Friday.

Croyle will start against the Broncos, with Damon Huard backing him up

Raiders coach Lane Kiffin confirmed Friday that Josh McCown (probable, finger) will start in Week 14.

D.J. Hackett (ankle) has been ruled out for Week 14.

Brandon Jones WR TN (groin) is "out" for Week 14 against San Diego.

Titans SS Chris Hope has been diagnosed with a spinal chord injury. He was placed on injured reserve, ending his season.

Falcons coach Bobby Petrino says Jerious Norwood will get more work in the receiving and passing games this week

Bucs WR Joey Galloway (toe) and Ike Hilliard (knee) are both listed as questionable for Week 14. They were both limited in Friday's workout

LenDale White (finger, probable) practiced fully on Friday.

White will be active and start Sunday, but could lose a good number of carries to Chris Brown

Kolby Smith, RB KC

News: Chiefs coach Herman Edwards said Wednesday that if the team had to play today, its starting offensive tackles would be Will Svitek and Herb Taylor, both reserves that aren't considered ready to play. The Chiefs' O-line is decimated by injuries and personal issues affecting their starters. That's not good news for Kolby Smith, who is expected to run behind that patchwork O-line in Week 14 at Denver.

Analysis: The Broncos' run defense regressed last week, and if the Chiefs' O-line was healthy, Smith would be able to do well. Monitor the status of the Chiefs' line this week before going with Smith in Week 14. If they're weak at the tackles, Smith is no better than a top-end No. 3 RB.

Rex Grossman - Sprained Knee Ligament (MCL)

Surgery won't be required, but as expected, this likely ends Grossman's season

My guess is that it ends this stint for him with the Bears as well.
