Falcons | Petrino had issues with Blank
Sat, 15 Dec 2007 08:36:20 -0800

Ronnie Ramos, of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, reports former Atlanta Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino felt owner Arthur Blank was too meddlesome in football operations. Petrino's family was also "miserable in Atlanta."

Still no excuse for leaving his team the way he did.

Considering the way the Eagles special teams have played this year, I'm not sure this is a completely bad thing lol

Colts won't rest starters in Week 16 against the Texans

An undefeated Colts team in 2005 sat starters in Weeks 16 and 17 and came out flat against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. "A month is a long time," Dungy said, referring to the time before Indianapolis would play its next game with a first-round bye already in hand. The Colts' victory over Oakland Sunday assured them of the No. 2 seed in the AFC.
Source: Indianapolis Star

This is FANTASTIC news for owners making a run to the playoffs.

Titans RB Chris Henry returned to the team Monday after serving his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's banned substances policy.
Coach Jeff Fisher noted that Henry has "stayed in good shape," but it's uncertain what type of role the team has planned for him now

Dolphins LB Channing Crowder will undergo arthroscopic surgery on his right knee Tuesday and is likely lost for the season.

Saints coach Sean Payton confirmed Monday that he's "optimistic" Reggie Bush (knee) can return in Week 16 against the Eagles.

A FOXSports.com report Sunday indicated the same. Payton says Bush plans to practice this week and is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn PCL. The coach added that he'll be "judicious" in his use of Bush if he can play, meaning his snaps would likely be limited, and Aaron Stecker would continue to start

Just in case you were wondering

Colts president Bill Polian confirmed Monday night that Marvin Harrison will not play in Week 16 against the Texans.

"He will not play this following weekend, I can assure you of that," Polian said on his radio show. "His knee has healed, it's a matter of conditioning now, and until we can put him out there for 60 plays a game, he won't play."

D.J. Hackett (ankle) could return to practice this week, according to Seahawks coach Mike Holmgren.

Holmgren says he wants Hackett playing as soon as possible despite his recurring high ankle sprain. A full week of workouts would bode well for Hackett's chances of making an impact in Week 16 against Baltimore.
