Chiefs fired offensive coordinator Mike Solari, line coach John Matsko, receivers coach Charlie Joiner, and running backs coach James Saxon

I feel bad for Joiner as he is one of the classiest people ever in the game of football.

there seems to be different stories out there about the new structure

Martz will be replaced by Jim Colletto, who will retain his position as offensive line coach while calling plays. Receivers coach Kippy Brown will serve as co-coordinator, the Detroit Free Press, Booth Newspapers and ESPN.com reported.

Cardinals looking towards RBBC in 08

The Cardinals are expected to add a more explosive running back with tackle breaking ability this offseason.
J.J. Arrington is fast, but doesn't shed many tackles. The Cards will likely bring Edgerrin James back, but it sounds like they want him to be part of a committee in 2008. Arrington will be competing just to make the club.
Source: Arizona Republic

Interesting. This is something value hawks should pay attention to this offseason.

Don't necessarily agree with Hunley, but Bresnahan's had too many opportunities.

Giants CB Kevin Dockery (hip) participated in practice Wednesday, Jan. 2. He may start at right cornerback in the team's wild-card game, if CB Sam Madison, who missed Wed practice (abdomen), is not able to play

Colts: Harrison practicing

January 2, 2008 9:22 PM ET
From Fanball:

The News
Marvin Harrison returned to the practice field for the Indianapolis Colts on Wednesday, and has a good chance of playing in their playoff game next week. Harrison has missed 11 games this season, and even though he was listed as probable for last week's game, he found himself inactive again.

Any way you slice it, it seems that Harrison will be on the field again this season. Whether it is in the divisional round or in the AFC Championship in a possible rematch with the Patriots, Harrison should return to the field at some point.

Ricky Williams back w/ Dolphins
News: The Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins have renewed Ricky Williams' contract for the 2008 season, according to his agent. His agent added that Williams is doing well recovering from a torn pectoral.
Analysis: Williams will only make just over $700,000 next season, so the Dolphins might be eyeing him as an insurance policy for Ronnie Brown, who tore his ACL last midseason and might have a hard time being ready for training camp.

Kerry Collins, speaking on WFAN, said that the Titans kneeled down at the end of the Colts-Titans game because they knew the Colts wouldn't call a timeout.

Collins said that the Titans originally called a running play, but he was told over his headset that the Colts wouldn't call a timeout to potentially force Tennessee to punt with less than 20 seconds left. Pressed further, Collins said the Colts and Titans coaches had "a communication," which is sure to raise collusion questions. Clearly it would have been a long shot for the Colts to win, but Browns fans won't enjoy hearing this one.

Titans WR Roydell Williams, tied for the team lead in receptions, will miss the playoffs with a broken ankle suffered in Wednesday's practice.

Titans are in very big trouble.
