You should also know that Wade Phillips has a ton of blitz packages in his defense. How many has he used in the pre-season? 1.

Dallas didn't have a good pre-season showing against the Texans, but it is pre-season, and much of that Dallas unit was backups particularly the linebackers and secondary.

To add, Houston is better than most think this year.

Let's see. The Chargers have a ton of talent, but they are no longer coached by the same aggressive coordinator. The Cowboys have a ton of talent, and they will no benefit from that same coordinator.

I could put the Patriots up there, although they are missing two key players for a portion of the season.

The Jaguars defense is going to be on the field constantly, and most likely worn down by mid-season.

Dallas was a top ranked defense last season, with a coach that kept them extremely conservative. No reason not to think they won't be better statistically this year.

But feel free to explain to me why they won't be better, or you could just make the homer accusation and run.
