Ellis is an outstanding athlete who runs very well sideline to sideline. He is good in coverage and is a big hitter. Good instincts and recognition are strengths as well. He could use to add some weight and could be a liability against the run. Needs to learn to wrap at times instead of going for the knock out blow. He has the potential to be a great all-around linebacker who shouldn't need to leave the field very often.
