| who me? Admin | Jonathan Stewart - Draft Projection - NFL Impact Jonathan Stewart Running Back - Oregon
NFL Impact There are many out there who say that Jonathan Stewart is the best running back in this draft class, but with the majority favoring McFadden, this most likely pushes Stewart down to a mid-first round pick. In comparisons to past running backs, the name that comes up is Emmitt Smith. ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd mentioned that if you put the same uniform on both of these guys, you couldn't tell them apart on the field. Stewart is very shifty on the field and has a knack for making the first, second, and third guys miss in traffic. Avoiding contact is the key to a long, productive career. While many running backs of late have hit the NFL with great talent, too often they lack the skills to ensure a long productive career. Jonathan Stewart is one of few running backs that come into the NFL not only with exceptional athletic ability, but also possessing the the instincts that make him look like a seasoned veteran. These are skills that you can't teach, they are instinctive. |
