Thumbs up Brett Fahhherve

The Decisive One is up on the trading block. Goes without saying that I lucked out with him in the 3rd round but I'm in the market for some young but proven WR talent and the Mafia are in rebuilding mode.

There are a few teams that could use QB help and if you're looking to win now, make me an offer.

Found a trading partner for old #4:

The Velvet Mafia gave up:
Favre, Brett NYJ QB
Miller, Heath PIT TE

Giants Rule 05 gave up:
Driver, Donald GBP WR

I get the starting WR I was looking for and GR05 gets the QB he is after. I sort of lucked into Favre in the 3rd round since he was traded the day I picked, plus I had a bye week conflict with him and D. Anderson. Driver isn't exactly young but I think he's got a few more good years in him and I was thin at that position. It was nice to own Favre for a few days anyway.

I don't like trading a WR when my WRs are already thin, but I just don't believe in Bulger. He had a crappy season in 2007 and I need someone I can count on every week. Nice doin business with ya.

Seems like a good deal for both. But a high price to pay for Bulger (mid 1st round) if you felt so uncomfortable with him as your starter that you gave up someone like Driver in order to back him up. I think Driver is very underrated this year. Had a solid season last year other than TDs. I see him as Rodgers security blanket this year.

You make a good point. The thing is that I feel semi-comfortable with Bulger as my starting QB. I don't take anything from his lousy showing in the first preseason game, but he didn't do anything to encourage me either. I'm convinced that between Favre and Bulger, one of them will turn into a stud.

I think so too. I actually was hoping Bulger would fall to me at 1.16. Then I wouldn't have had to draft two other QBs in the 4th to back up my #1 guy. However, I think getting Rodgers in the 4th was a steal. I almost took him instead of Campbell in the first and kept trying to trade up to grab him, but kept getting rejected.

Well, another stellar game for Bulger with 2 picks in the first quarter. It's looking like a good thing that I traded for Favre.
