| Bloggin' Outlaw Premium Member Forum Leader | Lewis, Reyes Round Out Indians Rotation Left-hander Scott Lewis and right-hander Anthony Reyes will open the season as the Cleveland Indians' fourth and fifth starters.Manager Eric Wedge told Lewis Wednesday he won the No. 4 spot in the rotation. Aaron Laffey was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Wednesday, one day after Jeremy Sowers was sent down. Reyes will be moved to the fifth spot to give him time off at various points in the season. Reyes was shut down in September with a sore elbow, but has not had discomfort this spring. Cy Young Award winner Cliff Lee lead the rotation, followed by Fausto Carmona, a 19-game winner in 2007, and veteran Carl Pavano, who signed as a free agent. |

| Baseball "Expert" Forum Leader | The Twins are bringing a couple of "new" pitchers North with them this year. RA Dickey will start the season in the rotation (until Baker is ready to go), Brian Duensing will be the "other " lefty in the bullpen and Phil Humber will also be in the bullpen. Duensing has been a starter most of his time in the minors, so we'll see how he adapts to the bullpen. Humber has not pitched particularly well this spring, but is out of options. Dickey had earned a spot on the team through good pitching this spring. He came in in great shape and impressed people with his stuff. Mauer will start the season on the DL, so Jose Morales made the team as Mike Redmond's backup. The team still has one or 2 more moves to make before they break camp. Matt Tolbert will likely not make the team out of camp, although he will come up if any of the infielders gets hurt. |

| Baseball "Expert" Forum Leader | The AL Central is pretty tight, right now with everyone except the Indians being within 2 games of .500. The Indians are off to a slow start, with their pitching being a bit of a problem. The Royals are off to one of their best starts in 20 years, behind Zack Grienke. The kid has it "figured out". Chicago is hanging around and should have a decent season, if their pitching can get more consistant. Detroit is playing better. Minnesota has had some good pitching performances, but we fans are waiting for Baker and Liriano to get started. |
