David Ortiz Goes On 15 Day Disabled List

-- Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz will be placed on the 15-day disabled list with a partially torn tendon in his left wrist, manager Terry Francona said Monday night.

It is being said this morning that Ortiz may be in a soft cast for a month. He could end up getting season ending surgery, although that is considered remote.

He broke the hamate bone in that wrist when he was with the Twins. He was out for nearly a full season with that one.
This is tough for the Sox.
