Espn and Yahoo both "update" articles often rather than write a new article up when the facts change completly. I had heard that the guy changed his mind an gave the ball to the hall after the hall refused to take it as a loaner.

When MongerKhan linked to the story it did say the hall did not get the ball. The story just gets re-written on the fly so the new story and new facts is at the same link instead of a new one for the new facts.

Same link two different stories, same link now reads.

It happens to me all the time. ESPN throws a small article out there about a player signing a 4 year extension. It is only two paragraphs long with no contract details. I news it, link to it, 5 hours later they rewrite/update that article under the same link. And everybody is like duh, coach, can't you read it says at your link it was for $30 million with a $10 million bonus.

but what can you do, but....

Maybe i should start posting the story with the link below it to avoid confusion and to show that it was the known info at the time.

Yeah, pasting in just a sentence or two from the actual story that states the crux of the material at the time can avoid this.
