2008 NFL Mock Draft Is Up

As with every year, expect many, many updates as draft values and team needs seem to change almost daily leading up to the actual NFL Draft. Feel free to critique (not that I have to tell any of you that )

LOL, Not buyin it Mike. Seattle takes a 2nd/3rd rd TE so that Dallas can get the RB Seattle is scouting hard in the 1st Rd. Little too much homer hope on this draft You might be able to get Felix in the 1st. Thats it, Seattle won't take him

nothing homer involved in this. You really think Bennett drops that far in the draft?

By the way, many drafts have the Seahawks taking a tight end, and I think this will be the top rated TE in the draft come draft time. Quite a bit of time left to change that thought but right now, that is my projection.

Seattle was looking at Mendenhall in Dec. They may not get him or Stewart, but they will not pass on them. If they are gonna go TE, I saw 1 mock where they took Bennett in the 3rd. They have looked at Sweed for TE. They aren't going to take Felix Jones. So what happens. If Stewart and Mendenhall are gone they will have to choose between OL and TE (Davis) or DT. They will take RB in rd 2 if they didn't in rd 1.

Seattles biggest downfall right now is the runng game and that is a huge problem. If the desired RB's are gone it comes down to OL, or DL/TE. Don't forget they drafted Alexander when they had Waters and then lost Hutch in a huge ****up. Fixing the running game is priority #1, then TE/DL. I wouldn't be suprised to see them take a TE in rd 3 but no sooner

Interesting, but the past is just that, the past.

Right now, the Seahawks are looking to make one more run with the current head coach. Do they risk bringing in another running back in the first round and dealing with that controversy?

I am clearly in the thought process that running back is a primary need for the future of this team, but this year is a short term process for the Seahawks I think.

Good point. And whats the best way to do that ?? Running game or TE when you have a top passing game already ??

Do you think the team has truly given up on Shaun Alexander, or is this just fan reaction?

I like what AD is saying. I, myself, was a little surprised to see the TE pick there. IMO, regardless of what other people are saying (even though you had a good point about giving SA another chance, especially with MoMo backing him up), I agree that Seattle's going to take an RB. I think that Hasselbeck and Holmgren function well enough together that Holmgren will be able to take more time to work with an oncoming RB.

I think they need to truly give up on him. He has not even come close to the numbers we saw in '05, and he's playing through injuries that aren't healing. I love Shaun, but I think it's time for Big Mike to throw in the towel.

Here's hoping that the first 24 teams in the draft forget about Darren McFadden.... :crosses fingers:

Going to be interesting to see what kind of news leaks out of Seattle. I remember back several years when Emmitt Smith went into the tank for over a year. The fans were screaming for him to be replaced, and most were convinced it was going to happen. He followed that up with two consecutive pro bowl seasons.

Not saying that will happen with Shaun Alexander, but it isn't out of the ordinary to players to go into long slumps.
