Adam Scheffter: Trent Green To Start For Rams

Title says it all. Scheffter reported a little while ago that Trent Green will be starting for the Rams.

Yeah, we knew all along that Bulger was the problem. /sarcasm

I thought the crashing sound was Green's head smashing against the field causing his 469th concussion.

I just figured this situation out. The Rams are putting Trent Green in while the O line attempts to get their shit together this year. Trent will be out there taking a beating and once he goes down with a serious injury they will bring Bulger back in.

Their offering a sacrifice to the football gods.

There seems to be no qualifications needed lately for being a head coach in the NFL. I am still shocked at this move, and almost ashamed at the fact that any team was willing to sign Trent Green in the first place. Nothing against the guy, but all he is doing is risking permanent damage every time he gets hit.

I remember when Troy Aikman went down with his last concussion, Dallas wouldn't ever let him back on the field, nor would any other team, regardless how many times he said he wanted to play. He couldn't even get on an NFL roster. This is exactly what should have happened to Trent Green.

I agree with DB completly. This is nothing more but a coach trying to prove that their failure was not his fault.

Bulger is no slouch in the concussion department himself.

Just for argument's sake, is it possible that Bulger has lost the lockerroom?

This has to be the most shocking move I have seen in a while, and I can't even bring myself to think that Linehan is stupid enough to think that simply changing quarterbacks is going to do any good, unless there is something going on behind the scenes that we and the beat writers don't see.

I would be surprised if a guy like Bulger lost the locker room. If anything Linehan is in danger of losing the locker room FOR benching Bulger, IMO.

I also think this next week will be Green's best week under center for the Rams. So a sly owner might want to stash him on his or her bench and offer him up for a price to another owner with a hurt qb.

The best thing that could happen is Trent Green TAKE OVER FOR LINEHAN.

I have no doubt that Green will post similar numbers to Bulger. QB IS NOT THE PROBLEM IN ST LOUIS, THE FOCKING HEAD COACH IS. SO IS FOCKING HASLETT.

Bulger hasn't looked good, I agree, but for management to pretty much blame things on him is a sign of said management's general ignorance of all things 'football'.

St Louis' O-line sucks in spite of the 2 high priced bookends. Orlando Pace is inactive if he gets a hangnail and Alex Barron is too stoopid to remember snap counts - most penalized NFL lineman last 3 years. The guys in the middle of the O-line open great holes.....

For opposing DLs and LBs.

The Rams defensive secondary is worst in the league, no doubt that Tye Hill (our own defensive version of Randy Moss) is the worst of the bunch.

Bulger is NOT the problem
SJax is NOT a problem

LINEHAN has always been a problem
HASLETT is a problem

The O-LINE is a problem
DBs are a problem

I like Trent Green, but he'll do no better or worse than Bulger.

TurfPro has spoken.

Could be that Green just knows Al Saunders' offense better at this point.
