If you need a refresher on the rules for the series or a run down of previous match-ups? Here is the rules and history thread:
"Close Calls 2006" - A Sportsoutlaw.com Exclusive
Remember, this is based on re-draft leagues.
Today's Match-up:
T.J. Housmandzedeh - WR - Cin *vs* Joey Galloway - WR - TB

Last Year's Stats:
T.J Housmandzedeh - 78 rec - 956 yds - 7 TD's (+ 1 TD Ru)
Joey Galloway - 83 rec - 1287 yds - 10 TD's

Last year Joey Galloway was on of the leagues biggest suprises as he put together a career year at age 34! But can he repeat the performance a year later? And while were talking about suprises, the former 7th round draft pick, Housmandzedeh was part of one of the biggest team suprises of last year. He teams with Chad Johnson to form one of the best receiving duo's in the league, but with the questions over star QB Carson Palmer scare fantasy owners away from TJ? Or will his injury history make them think twice? These are some of the questions you will have to answer in today's "Close Call."

Going to go with TJ on this one. No offense to Joey, but I believe last seasons was his last flare of brightness before his career goes caput.

Even though Galloway is getting up in years, he is still the number one option in Tampa Bay, whereas Housh is the second guy behind CJ. Galloway may have to be considered younger than his age tells based on his past issue with injuries and his first full season since being with Dallas in 2002. He has not lost a step and continues to be able to make the big plays when called upon.

Gott go with Joey Galloway here simply for the fact he is the starter, and regardless of age, the guy has alot of talent. There isn't a whole lot of seperation in these guys though, and I would hope that neither is anything more than my #3 wide receiver.

Palmer's status really seals this deal for me right now as well. If I knew he was going to be healthy and ready to go by game 1, this might be a tougher decision.

I have to go with Galloway, as stated by others, he is the starter, and main focus of the passing game. I also think Simms will get better. If not........then we will have to revisit this.

As for Housh....I am of two minds here. If Palmer returns at start of season..he will get 1000yds...and be a solid #2 wr. However, if Palmer was to miss time...I see an even better season for Housh. Why? Because the Qb coming in will not risk a Int on a deep throw to Chad...so it will mean more passes to the under guy which is Housh. If Wright starts for three or more games...I think Housh will be the guy you want in cincy...not Chad. Chad will get his..but Housh will see more receptions if Wright starts for a while. IMO.

I got to go with houshy on this one, the man knows that is not going to get the spotlight with chad around, with him playing the slot against linebackers and nickel corners, he is open most of the time. Also the guy always seems to be angry about something when he on the field.

Hard last name but good receiver . The Bengals can put up points and they all won't go to Johnson .T.B. is more run / defencive type of team .

Once the rules changed so you can not knock the WR pass 5 yards - the little guys have been EXPLODING on the scene -- I expect that trend to continue and would take Galloway over TJ -

and Gruden runs a pass oriented offense and will game plan to get Joey down the field...

TJ is the third option after CJ/Rudi - and TJ wont catch 70-80 yards bombs - CJ will -- and Galloway will
