Remember, this is based on re-draft leagues.
Today's Match-up: Tom Brady - QB - NE *vs* Donovan McNabb - QB - Phil
Last Year's Stats:
Tom Brady - 16 gms - 4,110 pass yds - 26 TD's - 14 Int's - 89 ru yds - 1 TD
Donovan McNabb - 9 gms - 2507 pass yds - 16 TD's - 9 INT's - 55 ru yds - 1 TD
Today's Match-up:
Today we place the consistency year in and year out of Tom Brady vs Donovan McNabb who is looking to rebound from a season marred with controvery and injury. Can McNabb make up for the loss of TO and still put up high end fantasy numbers or are you better off taking Brady and what seems to be sure fire consistent numbers? That is the question you will need to answer in today's "Close Call." |

McNabb no longer has Terrell Owens, which I think makes him at best a 20-25 touchdown Quarterback, including his rushing touchdowns. I seem him closer to the 20 touchdown area. Your gonna get 250 or so rushing yards from him as well to go with his 2800-3000 yards passing.
Brady is a consistant quarterback, who year in and year out is a 30 touchdown threat. With the improved offense, I think he hits it this year. He will also get you around 1000 more passing yards than you will get with McNabb.
You also know what you are getting with Brady. While McNabb may have a better than expected season, all you can truly count on is what he has done without and elite receiver, and hope that he is still at least that quarterback, coming back from injury. |

I have a feeling that will change, and also feel Brady is going to win this one going away. Hopefully we get some quality discussion on both players in the process though, and maybe someone can point out why they would take McNabb, b/c I can't see it..... |

Like I said, thought it would be a blow out, but have been wrong before. Just shocked that his ADP's was higher then Brady's, have a feeling that will change as more data is available.
McNugget without TO is simply just an average QB in the fantasy world. he'll be consistent, but consistenly average. And with him running less, his value takes another hit IMO.
Brady just gets it done, put him down for 3800 yds and 26 TD's and consider it money in the bank. Anything more is just gravey. |

Could you plug McNabb into the Pats offense and would he put up the same numbers as Brady? Could Brady run Reed's offense in Philly and have the success that he's had in New England? |

You simply have to go with Brady.
They as Mike said retooled that offense, but kept key people in place.
I also agree with most, McNabb reverts to the McNabb of pre-TO with no TO. He will drop in TDs and passing yards. |

The reason is simple, Brady is goin to high and Donavon is goin too low. While your taking Brady, I'll slice another WR or RB out of the meat locker and pick up McNabb on the way back, or even later. |

I do find it suprising that these guys have the same draft value. |

Brady - 5.07.52
McNuggett - 5.07.71
Last night nuggest was slightly ahead and now it's Brady, anyways, I was kinda hoping we'd hear from a few of the guys who would take McNugget. Someone is, but can't seem to figure out why. |
