I happen to agree with alot of you, I am concerned with the coaching change and what that will do with the offense. I know the OC is from the KC history, but all this talk of more running, tells me they are not going to be that close to the vermiel offense. However, Gonzo is still the only real target for passing in KC.
As for Shockey, I just hate having to depend on a guy I know won't play a whole season. Granted you always have to protect for a bye, but to have to protect with a REAL GOOD option due to injury concerns is a whole nother ball game. It is one reason why I stay away from Stallworths and F.Taylors and such.
Of the two though...I think Shockey does have the most upside. His QB will only get better, and I think there will be a push this year to take some pressure and carries from Tiki. So more passes are an option I believe.
So I will say Shockey. |

He is a punk, but he wins this battle, IMO. |

Last I looked (which was 20 secs ago) he has played every game the last 6 YEARS!!!! What do you mean he's not the healthies of guys??? You got to explain this one to me, guy is a rock and as dependable as they come IMO, so where do you get this opinion from? |

Gonzo on the other hand has became even more of a blocking TE last year and i think that trend will continue. I only project 4-6 TD's for Gonzo.
So, considering you don't get enough yardage for big points from a TE. I would much rather have Shockey (injury risk or not.) |
