Thumbs up

From SportsOutlaw.com's newsblog:

Quote:
In what is becoming a weekly ritual, Frank Gore phoned coach Mike Nolan on Sunday evening, a couple of hours after the 49ers’ 20-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams.According to Gore, when he and Nolan spoke, the topic was ball security. For the second week in a row, Gore lost a fumble. This one came near the Rams goal line. Gore jumped toward the end zone, someone hit the ball, and a good scoring opportunity was lost.
“(Nolan) knows the type of runner I am,” Gore said Monday. “I’m always working for the extra yard. He told me I’ve just got to be smarter and always remember there’s another down.”

So far this guy has been my sleeper pick of the year.
I got him late 5th rd. in a Zealots vet draft (dynasty, IDP) in which all starting RB's were gone very early.
Between him and Mike Bell (6th rd. rookie draft) I'm building a decent team.

I know what you mean. I picked up Gore in the 6th round and I picked him as a sleeper and he is looking sharp. I hope he continues forward. He is an impressive running back and imagine what he could do in a offensive line that would be stronger.

The thing to keep in mind though is the fumbles. 2 games, two fumbles. That statistic has to go away
