Great. Now we can move on, as expected.

how many contracts do you think Terrell Owens is holding in his hand right now?

None. He hasn't been officially cut yet, has he? I think he is still the property of Philly, unless I'm mistaken (wouldn't be the first time). Prevailing thoughts are Denver or Dallas. I personally don't care where he goes, I just cringe to know he'll continue to be front page news whenever we get a whisper with his name in it.

And Free Agency now will start 12:01 Friday morning since they signed the extension. So another day to wait to see who Cleveland can score. Hoping that doesn't mean Maake Kemoeatu stays with Baltimore, nor Witherspoon with the Panthers, nor Givens with the Pats, etc....

From ESPN:

NFL owners have approved a six-year extension of the collective bargaining agreement by a vote of 30-2 Wednesday night.
Buffalo and Cincinnati were the two teams to vote against the proposal, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen

That has me wondering about Cincy. I know they are a small market team, as is Buffalo, and want their piece of the pie. But get with the new millenium Mike Brown. I understand wanting to honor Paul Brown and keep his name on the stadium, but sell the naming rights and reap the financial windfall. Maybe then you won't have to spend 50% of your money on salaries and can pay for some signing bonuses. Not that they need it with the moves they've been making the last couple years, but I'm sure Chad's Gold Teef need some more bling.

And how does La'Roi Glover get signed by St. Louis already if we haven't even started free agency? I haven't been able to get an answer on that on yet.

You're so smart. No wonder they made you Imp of the Year. Thanks and congrats.

The link doesn't go directly to the thread, but I was able to actually string together my reading comprehesion skills and managed to find the thread you were referring to. I can't wait until I become a "vested veteran," then maybe my medicare benefits will kick in and I can get that medication the doctors keep telling me I need to take...

On another note: the cap is supposed to be around $104 million.

I've seen it as low as $102, per some other unnamed sites. I'd like to see it right at $100, but I know that won't happen. One-ought-two is a low number for what we've been seeing lately tossed around. Should be an interesting start to free agency...whenever they get around to that.

Yeah....I am hearing $102 on the radio now. I guess $104 leaked out too soon.

Well, for the long run this was very important for the NFL. Understanding how some feel a cap has not helped football, it was an absolute fact that 2008 was going to be a lockout year if they had not done this. As for the cap....I am somewhat dissapointed. I for one was REALLY looking forward to these big cuts and watching all these players fly around.
