Donate | Giants place Plax on non-football in jury list HES DONE!! The Giants have suspended WR Plaxico Burress for four games, the remainder of the regular season, and also placed him on the non-football injury list (NFI), effectively ending his 2008 campaign. He is ineligible to play again this season, including the playoffs. Burress' career with the Super Bowl champions is likely over and he could land in jail after being charged Monday with illegal gun possession. Burress accidentally shot himself in the thigh at a nightclub early Saturday morning, and the charges rolled in thereafter because he was carrying an unregistered gun. If convicted, Burress could face 3 1/2 to 15 years in jail, and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wants him prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. |

Donate | There goes my SOFFL 3rd round draft pick.... ugh
what a dumbass this guy is. Also - how do you plead "not guilty" to shooting yourself in the leg? Did I miss something? Where did the bullet come from then? The evidence IS Plaxico Buress' leg. |

Donate | Plaxico entered "not guilty", he was charged a couple days ago. They are still haven't talked to Pierce though, no formal charges on him.
Regardless what happens legally, this 4 game suspension, which is taking place while he is injured and unable to play, better not be factored in on any suspension the league does. That would be pure BS.
His previous dealings with the law have been covered up with stories such as "he had to take his kid to school" when the fact was it was the 2nd time his wife had called the cops out on him. League has done nothing to this guy. |
