I have Ronnie Brown starting and Gore is usually my No 2 BUT I just don't like the match up. I have Maroney on the Bye and MBIII. Do you drop MBIII and pick up Mo Morris just for this week???? Or should I do the crazy thing and start MBIII and hope he gets some 2nd half mop up duty on the Texans??

I am with you on not liking the Gore matchup.

Left tackle Jonas Jennings did not practice on Friday and was downgraded to doubtful with a hand injury. Running back Frank Gore is up against the best run defense in the NFL this week. The Chargers are allowing only 66 rushing yards per game this season, and without his starting left tackle, Gore doesn’t figure to improve that average much.

Dropping MBII for MoMo seems drastic. Momo has potential but The Seahawks didn't let him run much at all last week. I am going with your crazy thing, starting MBII.

It will be crazy either way!!! Mo Mo would be a one week crap shoot. It would be my luck to drop MBIII and have Mo Mo lay and egg AND Julius Jones would be out for the season. We'll see what happens. You would still start a number 2 RB than take chances on a number 1???

I don't like the Drop MBII and pick up MoMo option at all. MoMo has already laid an egg, so to speak, but it was not entirely his fault as he was given no carries to speak of. But it is too short term and having MBII in the long term is better in my mind.

Starting Gore with his getting much more carries is truely the prudent thing to do as MBII would have to get a td to have an impact at all.

You have to keep MBII as at this point he has been very productive with very limited carries. 3 Tds in 4 games is great and only 34 touches is amazing and a bit unusual also. Maroney has been a great RBBC guy also but gets more touches. It is a nice team you have overall and you are a good manager thinking along many lines.

So I guess you should start Gore, but I do love this sort of crazy talk myself.

I agree about the one game pickup being too short term AND MBIII is and can be an asset down the stretch.

My gut is that Gore gets stuffed (and A. Smith for that matter) for an avg day.

MBIII will probably be ahead at half AND gets into the game in a run run run 2nd half. I'll make the call in a few hours
Thanks

Start Morris. Against the Rams (not the greatest rush defense) he should pick up some good yardage. I'm expecting something like 60+ yards and a few catches, plus a TD out of him. I'll take that game from him.

Yeah, SD is too good a defense for Gore and I don't like starting Barber just for the chance he'll mop up. Go MoMo.
