Donate | Hold On To Pierre Thomas? Bush is Back but listen to this.
Head coach Sean Payton said after Sunday's loss to Tampa Bay that Thomas was the team's "most consistent" running back and the "best option on the first- and second-down snaps" during Sunday's contest, the Times-Picayune reports. |

As for consistency, how can any running back be consistent getting 1,3, or 5 carries a game?
How can a running game be consistent when you run the ball less than 20 times a game on a regular basis?
Since Pierre Thomas got the bulk of the carries, (11), lets take out the high and low and get an average. It comes to 2.x yards per carry. Consistent? Consistently bad.
You need a primary running back, one that is going to consistently get the bulk of the carries (bulk meaning more than half, and the team needs to be running the ball much more than 20 times per game). It is the only way a power running back can develop a rhythm, and the only way you are going to control the clock, and the only way that an offensive line can get in sync with their starting running back.
The overall stats look great, but this is the worst offense in the league in terms of winning a football game. |

Still don't understand all that hype that was given to a part time college running back. Notice how the Saints play better when he is injured and on the sideline? 3-5 with Bush, 3-1 without. Coincidence? |

It's almost like he is speaking in another language and then someone is translating for him......but, mixing up the syntax. |
