I'm in a 10 team, 4 keeper local league. Dominated this league for 5 years until my team decided they would tank after a 6-1 start last season to finish 7-7 and miss the playoffs for the first time ever.

Well I'm looking to get back to the top this year and feel I have the weapons to do so, but need to figure out who to try to trade and who to keep. Here are the choices, I need to decide on 4 of the 5:
LT - No Brainer
McGahee - Lock unless I trade him and one of the next 3 for another back.
Fitzgerald - Love the kid, will be very hard to have to let him go.
R. Moss - Bent me over last year, and to think I kept him and traded CJ!
Gates - Simply the best TE, but is he better to have then an elite WR?

Really it comes down to do I get rid of Moss, Fitz, or gates......

Basic scoring, no pts for recpetions.

I think you need to get rid of Moss. That ship has sailed.

He still carries alot of value among most FF players though, so packaging him and McGahee for a top running back would be a very good idea, IMO.

For me I would not keep Moss. He has just not loooked the same the last two years.

Gates amy not do as well this season due to them starting Rivers, but he will still be at the top of the TE list.

I agree with Mike and Taz. You should find a Moss lover though..so trade value could be high for you. But of the ones listed...Moss would be gone if I were you.

If you trade him in this format though, you need to look for draft picks in return not players unless you package two of these for one superstud.

I've been in a 16 team keeper league for 15 years and watched our league parallel the NFL so closely it's not funny. This year's decision's will make or break my team for years. Basic scoring only. 8 keepers unless you drop your first round to keep 9. First 2 rounds are in reverse order of last years finish and I draft 7th.
QB's 1. Plummer J. Den 2. Grossman R. Chi 3. Walter A. Oak
RB's 1. Johnson L. K.C. 2. McCallister D. N.O. 3. Jones T. Chi
4. Benson C. Chi 5. Houston C. NYJ 6. Jacobs B. NYG
WR's 1. Moss S. Was 2. Lloyd B. Was 3. Jones B. Ten 4. Smith R. Den
TE's 1. Cooley C. NYG 2. Graham D. N.E.
PK's 1. Barones R. Ten 2. Reed J. Pit
OK here's the team with the exeption of QB Collins K. (OAK/?)WR Smith J.(Jac/Ret)
So far I have made the dicision to keep QB's Plummer and Grossman. I'd love to keep Walter of OAK since I think he is the QB Oakland has been looking for. RB's Johnson, Jones, Benson and McCallister thou I don't know what will happen with Bush in N.O.? WR's Moss and Lloyd even though thier on the same team, but I would like to keep Brandon Jones of Ten. since I think he will be a Stud like Steve Smith. TE's Cooley can be a top 5 TE but there seems to be a few more like him in the rookie crop this year.
In my league the PK's are gone by the 4th round no later than 5th. So do I drop my 1st round to keep a PK or hope to pick one up in the 3rd or 4th round.
My thaughts are to trade a RB and a later draft pick to keep an extra player without giving up my first round, but who do I trade? I am open to ideas, let me know what you think.

Ditch Moss. The same injury two years in a row does not bode well for him and if he isn't done in a year or two I'll be surprised.

you can't just "ditch" Moss. He has too much fantasy value. You gotta work a trade in there with Willis somehow and bring in a more solid keeper. Even if you lose out in total talent, if you can upgrade any from Willis McGahee, you win overall in the situation.

Packaging and trading into a better situation has to be your first attempt before just letting a guy like that go.

Ditch, as in get rid of him somehow. Trade, not cut, whatever. Packaging him with McGahee to some guillible sucker sounds good to me.

Well as obviosly pointed out, I would trade the guy I don't keep and it will be for picks, have done very well with this over the years. I will try to deal for SA or LJ, but not sure if either team will bite. If not, I'll just look for picks and should be able to find someone.

Lloyd and Moss aren't on the same team. Lloyd is with the 'Skins.

And so is Moss, this is S. Moss he is talking about. My question was about R. Moss, roid's team had S. Moss.

Roid, i will look at your team and give my suggestion later today.

Gates + Moss makes a great lure for a top RB

- You never know with Randy (hopefully you have a lover in the league)
- Gates value will never be higher

I would try and deal McGahee plus Moss or Gates for an upgrade at RB. Otherwise, cut bait with Moss. 10 team, 4 keeper is going to be tough unless you find a shitty team with only 1 or 2 top players.
