Lamont Jordan being scouted

ESPN.com reports that the New Orleans Saints, Chicago Bears and New England Patriots are potential suitors for the services of Oakland Raiders RB LaMont Jordan via trade.

I have read this also. It seems that teams looking for depth at RB are slightly more interesting in trading for Lamont than going for the FA Backs out there.

Supposedly Jordan has visited Detroit. However, no offers were made. Jordan really could be the best FA option out there, if for nothing else the goal line and short yardage work.

I think your looking at a Chris Simms situation here. People want to buy and the Raiders want to sell, but buyer knows seller will probably have to cut the product and they can buy it cheaper
