Donate | Dolphins Hire' Henning To Be OC. The Miami Dolphins continued rounding out their coaching staff on Monday.
New head coach Tony Sparano named Dan Henning the team's offensive coordinator. A 28-year NFL veteran, Henning was most recently the Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator from 2002-06. In that time, the Panthers advanced to the NFC Championship Game twice, losing the 2003 Super Bowl to the New England Patriots.
This will be Henning's second go-around with the Dolphins, coaching quarterbacks and wide receivers under Don Shula in 1979-80. A little off the radar but a nice grab. ESPN - Longtime NFL veteran Henning joins Dolphins as O-coordinator - NFL |

Donate | Matt Maiocco, of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat, reports the San Francisco 49ers have agreed with QB Shaun Hill on a three-year contract. Hill is expected to receive the paperwork Tuesday, Feb. 5. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the deal could be worth approximately $2 million per year with playing-time bonuses that could further compensate him if he wins the starting job. I hear a $2 million signing bonus also. Quick upgrade for a league minimum backup QB. Glad to see the Niners pull the trigger on this. |
