After losing to the Titans, and losing Donovan McNabb, the Philadelphia Eagles playoff hopes ended.... in most people's eyes. The team has other ideas. Against the Carolina Panthers, the Eagles managed to bounce back with a win at home, even though the boo birds were coming out against Jeff Garcia.
The Eagles find themselves in another tough battle this week. Not because the Redskins are so much a good team, but because matchups in the NFC East are never a given, no matter how good or bad each team is.

The Eagles have 3 consecutive road games, all against the NFC East. The first of the 3 games is this one. A win this week and the matchup against the Giants next week could become very important.

Talk about the game here,

Bet on the game here.

Is any backup quarterback playing better than Jeff Garcia right now? After tonight's Cowboys-Saints game it will be interesting to see who has the higher QB rating. I'm ready to declare 2006-2007 as "The Year of the Backup QB" All over the place backups have filled in and had success. Rivers replaces Brees to start the year and impresses. Joey Harrington has done a better job than Culpepper, Damon Huard was a tremendous backup to the injured Trent Green, David Garrard is debatable as a better QB than Leftwich, Tony Romo has been lights out good, and Jeff Garcia seemingly throws TD passes one after another without sacks or picks.

This is a good win for the Eagles. Didn't see the game, but looks like it was close, as expected.

Yeah, way too close for comfort. Nervous down to the very end. The birds weren't able to stop the running attack from Betts.

I figured Betts to be the only chance for the Skins. He has been pretty good for the team this year and was rewarded for it this week.

With Portis and his inability to stay healthy, they need someone to fall back on. I expect there will be an unhappy Clinton Portis next year when Betts is getting some of his carries.
