Players you avoid???

Who are players you seem to avoid at all costs?

For me ,I don't have many that I won't draft. There are some that my rankings keep me from drafting, but I do I have a couple:
1. Hines Ward - Always over-rated due to the fact he's a great NFL player, but not so good fantasy player any longer.
2. Denver RB's prior to rd 8. - I'll take a flyer on one, but not taking any of the front runners, just no stability there.
3. Rookie RB's hyped due to situation more then talent (i.e Kev Smith & Matt Forte) - No suprise here, and nothing I haven't been over before.

I disagree with Hines Ward. Hes $ in PPR leagues (there shouldnt be any other kind) and a great WR3

The others your spot on. Denver's RB situation is fantasy hell.

Going to stick with top players:

  • Running Back - Adrian Peterson, Marion Barber
Peterson has exceptional talent, horrible running style. Too much risk for the investment required.
No faith in Barber as a starting running back. I am not comfortable depending on him during the stretch to the playoffs.
  • Tight End - Jeremy Shockey
When has this guy ever been a picture of health? Add the latest bad attitude issues, no way I touch this guy
  • Wide Receiver - Randy Moss
I was one of the few around here last year that was all over this guy. This year, not so much. I loved his value last year, but don't trust him enough to get him in the 1st round this year, which is where you will most likely have to go to get him.
  • Quarterback - Tom Brady
The price is too high, and I don't think he comes close to duplicating his 2007 numbers.

I don't think you can say that you wouldn't draft Brady or Moss. If you are sitting in 10th spot and you're in a league of devoted RB drafters and either one falls to you, I think you'd be smart to spend your pick on Moss at that point.

You can't really say someone is a player you'd avoid if you would draft them if they fell just a little bit further.

Gore. I've NEVER been on the Gore bandwagon and watched dumbfounded two years ago when he tore it up. I don't trust his ability to stay healthy or think he's that good of a runninback.

im really surprised at all the hatred for a guy who has been top 10 RBs each of the last two years in frank gore. theres only two other RBs who can claim that, and everyone seems to like westy and tomlinson well enough. the guy had 1500+ yards last year and 6 TDs. does he really suck? or did you all just get burned by spending a high pick on him last fall and not getting that huge breakout year you told your friends was coming?

Humor me by reading my close call rant on Gore, and 10 other 1st round backs from last year! It is the Close Call 6 on Gore and LJ.

As we've discussed with other runningbacks, making top 10 last season wasn't a major accomplishment (McGahee, Edge, and other second tier rbs were in the same ballpark as Gore). And if you're going to spend a top pick he's just not that guy for me.

I understand the health concerns, but when healthy, he is a great RB. Just imagine if he had a better OL and QB....

Could it be that last year's numbers are what is going to become the normal at this point due to at least "some" form of RBBC being used by most teams?

What floors me is the blind homage to SJax over basically all but two backs in the whole draft. I don't see it. I don't see the team is any better than last year. Give me LT, AD, Addai, and Westbrook before I even start throwing him in the mix.
