yeah im not buying this either. the numbers arent that far off, and the top 10 points cutoff was about the same. nothing has changed that much.

SJax is money this year, barring a big injury

This year, I would avoid, if practical, Gore, Portis, LJ, any RB w/ last name Bush, McAllister, and half the guys w/ last name Brown

Also any Chicago WR

I agree completely, and that is why a back, just b/c he's top 10, does not not deserve a first round grade. Sorry, if I'm spending a top pick, they have to be someone I think will be a 200 pt performer, Gore strikes me as a maybe in that effect, which would land him at the end of the first for me. I'd rather go WR after that first group of RB's b/c a top 10 just isn't all that anymore, now top 5, yep, still money, but that is where they need to get to.

Never owned the guy, but never bought the hype to be honest. he's a nice back, but far from a can't miss stud many make him out to be.

hes averaging 1850 yards and 8 TDs over each of the last two seasons. and you can get him any time at the 6th pick or later in any draft, a lot of times more like at 10-12. whats not to like here? youd rather take a shot with marshawn lynch or willis mcgahee?

Acheived this on his own without any offensive plan or compliments! I would take him before SJax, though I realize I am on an Island on that.

Other than the injury factors, what part of the hype is wrong? He was lights out when healthy at Miami and has been solid for the pathetic 49ers, who have a mediocre line and mediocre passing game which forces teams to key on Gore.

15 games in "07", and 16 games in "06". It is all made up!

eh, but what has changed?? the injury concerns don't bother me much, I just don't think he's elite. He's good, not great. In the close call thread I posted good projections for him, but more of a corner, early first type guy for me and not a mid to high first. He was taken top 4 last year and I thought it was a bit high, and mid first this year is still too high.

Many expect Martz to come in and be a savior, not me. weapons are not there to make this work, I see a mess brewing in SF on the offensive side.

How do you know he isn't great? He hasn't played on an elite offense in the NFL yet. I think he is great, and what is holding him back is not of his own doing as he can not control player personnel decisions. All things being equal, he is a top 5 RB. But not all offenses, offensive lines, and QBs are equal, which is why Gore 's abilities are held back some.

I'm pretty sure that mess is well beyond brewing. I think it's brewed, canned, and ready for consumption.

How do you know he is great? It's called an OPINION.......

And since you bring up things beyond his control, how does that changes anything?? Things aren't equal, it's called life. Sorry, I have to look at the entire picture and if the entire picture is some of what is holding him back so be it, it's still holding him back.

He was amazing in high school, amazing in college when healthy, and has been pretty darn good playing in one of the most pathetic offenses in the NFL.

You don't think he is that good. I think the reason you don't think he is good is because of things outside of his control, like his OL and QB.

Chicago QB's RB's, WR's
Miami QB's, WR's
Houston RB's

Specific players are Cadillac ( health issues ), Ronnie Brown (See Cadillac), Terry Glenn, Edge, Shockey, and any "Running" QB.
