| Bloggin' Outlaw Premium Member Moderator | Randy Moss: Available Soon To An NFL Franchise Near You? Pats WR Randy Moss A superstar this year with the Pats will be available soon. His performance level this year should command around $17 million in guaranteed money. Your team needs him or does it? Will he play at Vikings/Patriot levels or does he perform at Raider levels. Does he need to be coupled with a great QB to have great production? We have all known that this was coming, time to drag the subject out into the light. |

| Clear Eyes..Full Hearts.. Admin | If he ends up with a Super Bowl Ring after this weekend, there is no way I would go after him. If the Patriots come up short on Sunday, and leaves Moss with no jewelry on this hand, then I consider it. |

| Clear Eyes..Full Hearts.. Admin | Randy Moss wants a ring, and this team is doing great. That is the motivation for Randy Moss. If the Patriots were struggling, Moss would be back to the old Randy Moss, regardless who is coaching the team. |

| Outlaw | what team could afford $17M against the cap next season? and would Moss want to play for said team? I'm begining to think Moss may sign for a hometown discount assuming the Pats release Donte Stallworth and don't sign FA Asante Samuel. With the recent signing of hired gun Adailus Thomas, I don't think the Pats can (or will choose to) afford Moss AND Stallworth / Samuel. Last edited by GlennsPatriots; 02-01-2008 at 10:07 AM. |

| Outlaw | He would be foolish to leave that team, no matter what is the outcome of the Superbowl. Keep in mind, Randy makes that offense completely different as many teams have to roll a cover 2 on him. Not to mention Randy needs the Patriots as he knows that team is his best chance of getting a ring. Not to mention, how often did you hear Randy complaining this year? Not one sound. Granted it is easier to keep quiet when you are winning, but I think he is starting to understand the Team factor in football. Which NE values and displays very well. Sum all that up, there will be Moss growing in the NE endzone for many years to come. |

| Outlaw | I don't think Moss with go anywhere even after the loss in the Superbowl. I don't see him wanting chemistry from another quarterback and I see Brady lobbying for him to stay if it comes to that. As long as the patriots have Moss, Welker, Watson, Maroney, and Faulk, I think they will be contenders each year. What they will need to do however is upgrade their aging linebacker core. They need some younger faster guys. Perhaps the absence of Colvin hurt their loss. |

| Clear Eyes..Full Hearts.. Admin | Since you mention Welker, does anybody know what his contract status is? Because this is a guy that is not going to hang around at his current salary. He tried to get out of the trade when it happened because he wanted to test free agency. After this years performance, gotta expect the guy to start looking for a pay raise. |
