The
NFL Network reports Washington Redskins
WR Malcolm Kelly (knee) will miss two weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery.
Gary Fitzgerald, of Redskins.com, reports Washington Redskins
WR Devin Thomas (hamstring) remains on schedule to return to practice this week.
The Redskins Wrs going into the season seemed very solid. Santana Moss was considered one starter. The other starter was considered to be a battle between the two Rookie Wrs picks. Thomas was considered the favorite for the #2Wr slot but came down with a hamstring injury early in camp. Kellys stock went up but now he is down for two weeks so the wheel seems to be turning back to Thomas' advantage again. Randle EL was considered to be the Guy in the slot. His potential effectiveness in the slot was proven out in the Hall of fame game where he was hit in stride crossing the field and going for a easy TD. The battle for #2 WR may even continue into the season, possibly with EL ending up the second best Wr option in this O.
