Chris Johnson, and I'm sure you realized that. I also meant 150 combined touches for Johnson. Thanks for the correction.

brown was the titans backup last year, so no, i thought you just didnt know he was gone and were accounting for his touches.

either way, we're not going to see white with 275+ carries and johnson with another 150+. only 10 backs in the entire league had 275+ carries last year, and none of them had a backup with 150+. in fact, from what i can tell, i only see two backups with even 100 carries. there just arent that many touches to go around for everyone.

Dolphins will do it, but only because they will be running 75% of the time.

In 2006 Deuce had 274 total touches to Reggie's 243.

Last year Deuce/Stecker/Thomas had 249 total touches to Reggie's 230.

I feel very confident that LenDale can get 275 touches to Johnson's 150. I might even up Johnson's count to 200 touches, dropping Whites to 250+. It could easliy happen and it it what I see them trying to do.

I use the NewOrleans scenario as the one I see the Titans wanting to emulate this year, with two healthy backs.

ah well now youve changed from carries to touches. thats a different story all together. but surely many of chris's touches will be on kick returns where he is just about useless to the average fantasy player. where are the goal line touches going to be? where will the rushing yardage come from if hes getting 100 carries on the season aka 5 or 6 a game? if youre not in a league with PPR and/or kick return yardage, im still not buying where this guys points are going to come from.

I'll tell you one thing: If anyone is going to run the ball that much, it will probably be the Titans.

I don't know how the touches shake out, but I am sure they will run a lot. Chris Johnson has that big play potential while LenDale White will provide his consistent carries. It'll be interesting to see how things get going this year.

Titans had a total of almost 550 rushes last year.

Lendale White - 303
Chris Brown - 102
VY - 93
Chris Henry - 31

Chris Johnson will get more touches than Chris Brown got last year because he is a better runner and is a dual threat as a receiver, LenDale White will probably drop down to around 270.

Exactly how many carries White will get is going to depend on how Johnson produces as a running back (which I think will be very well), and how much Johnson is needed in the passing game (which could be alot).

I'm on the fence about this guy. I don't like to put much stock into rookie backs, especially those not drafter to be the starter.

On the other hand, this guy has home run potential and will have some big fantasy games. Predicting when he's going to blow a 60 yard run is impossible though.

Chris Johnson was drafted to be something very similar to a starter, and will get plenty of time on the field with the offense. He will be used in the backfield with White, split out at times, and get time in the backfield by himself.

He wasn't taken in the 1st round, over all the receivers that were available, to simply be a backup/change of pace guy.

"he wasnt taken in the 1st round for..."

that one.

this topic has been beaten to death though. i guess maybe im wrong, all 1st round RBs are NFL hits, especially the scatback types.
