Suh pushing Lions for more $$ than Bradford got?

rotoworld,
Beat writer Tom Kowalski passes along "the rumor that won't die" that Ndamakong Suh is pushing for a higher contract than No. 1 pick Sam Bradford received.

If the rumors are true, it's no wonder Suh hasn't signed. Neither side is talking details, though Lions president Tom Lewand suggested Saturday that "it takes both sides to get a deal done." It's hard to blame the Lions if Suh is really seeking more than $50 million guaranteed.

Either rookies seem more demanding this year than past years or i just forgot last years. This 3 ring circus shit has to stop. A salary cap for rookies needs to be put in place for next season. Wonder what would happen if a team decided not to draft and just sign free agents? Sure might pay more but at least they are proven players.

I'd like to see some sort of price structure set up for the rookie draft choices and the owners might be able to get it through negotiations. If I was a voting member of an nfl team I'd be for it. I'd be sick of seeing these kids come in making more than me the 6 year veteran.

I blame the agents. They're extorting the players, the owners and the fans! Not to mention building sky rocketing expectations for each rookie class with towering financial responsibilities you KNOW they aren't wise enough (yet) to handle.
