Mooch is making a mistake if he thinks this is a better alternative to Joey Harrington.

ON the contrary, this is a GREAT move by Mooch. He won't be the starter, he will be the ageless backup who already knows Mooch's system, and can help work with Harrington on getting the ball out quicker.

If he is really being brought in to be the backup, then fine. I cant help but think there is more to it than that though.

Mojo i totally agree with you. If the Lions or Mooch think Garcia is the answer they are sadly mistaken. If everyone stays healthy Joey will be fine.

Well, let me put it to you this way. They have made some very solid moves. They have gotten a real TE to play, they have the stud rb from last year, if wr's can stay healthy, then they have great recievers. The ONLY issue will then be QB. That being said, if you are going to sign a backup, and a veteran, wouldn't YOU want a player you have had in the past that knows your system?

For the record, I don't think Garcia is washed up. You can't hold that horrid Cleveland team against him. If he is healthy, he could still get it done. Then again I thought I saw it was ONLY a 1year contract. So I don't think Mooch is sold on him either.
