Darren Howard for Dat Nguyen possible

After hearing the rumors of Dallas dealing DAt for Charles Woodson, I have to say this deal would make me much happier.

No deal done yet, but it sounds like Dallas is very seriously pursuing this.

Maybe the cowboys pull a coup and get Howard without giving up Ngyuen? That would be the Tuna working his magic.

Updating a previous report, Clarence E. Hill Jr., of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, reports the Dallas Cowboys have no plans to trade LB Dat Nguyen despite specuation he was involved in trade talks with the New Orleans Saints for DE Darren Howard. "The Cowboys are not trading Dat Nguyen," Steiner said. "I can't say if they are pursuing Darren Howard. But I know Dat Nguyen is not part of the deal."

Updating earlier reports, Jean-Jacques Taylor, of the Dallas Morning News, reports the Dallas Cowboys are strongly pursuing New Orleans Saints DE Darren Howard and a source has indicated the defensive end's agent spoke with Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones Saturday, March 12. The Cowboys are expected to present a contract proposal to Howard's agent Sunday, March 13.

it will be very interesting to see how this works.

Since Howard is Franchised, picks definatlely have to be involved.

I can't see giving the Saints anything more than a second round pick for Howard. He's 29 years old, which to me says that if he's lucky he's got another 3-4 years left in the tank. I also heard that he want's something like a 12 million signing bonus on a 5-6 year contract. That's too long of a contract and too much signing bonus for this guy.
I would be pissed off if Dallas gave up a first round pick in this year's, or next year's draft, especially considering how much money he's demanding.
