You can't transport marijuana through airport security like that! Thats a rookie mistake.

You see Vick, transporting marijuana through the airport is kind of like running a play action pass. You have to disguise your packages (as you did with a water bottle) and as you go back for the snap you have to read what the defense gives you (are they in a zone, man-to-man, or no liquids on plane defense here?). If you misread the coverage you have to throw it away, but Vick being Vick he will try to force it in there and it gets intercepted (confiscated).

Vick, buddy, you have to learn to put it where only your guy can get it (like your non carry-on luggage) - not force it into double coverage.

I would think that Vick makes enough money to buy more weed when he gets back to Atlanta, this had be some good sticky icky.

You know, it is funny. I was listening to Kevin Cowherd on ESPN radio. He made a few statements that I truly had to think about.

1) Vick is a coach killer. All that is heard is how you have to devise an offense around this guy, and lean toward his talents. Hmm....he can run....and evade pretty well. Maybe RB would be better?
2) Time for Atlanta to have a grown up's offense. Cowherd here was making a point of how the top three Qbs in the game right now - Manning, Brees, and Brady are throwers, not mobile guys. He also made the point that none of the teams that have mobile, athletic type Qbs ever win a superbowl. Thinking it over...other than Steve Young...or Elway...who of this type of Qb has?

My point is this. I happen to agree with some here, and with most in sports talk right now. It is time for Atlanta to move off of Vick as their starting QB. Now, please notice I am not saying get rid of Vick. Personally, I think moving him to Wr or rb for 3rd down would be a much better use of his abilities. He would be even more dangerous than Randel-El was in Pittsburgh. It would also allow Schaub to move in and open up the passing game better. Just my $0.02 here.

Oh, and for those who will post here saying: He hasn't had any recievers to work with....or they drop all the balls. Maybe a point to be made. But keep in mind....Crumpler has been the leading reciever for the team....and they have excellent backs that can catch..that they don't utilize. As for dropped passes.....lets see how many can catch a 90mile an hour fast ball with your hands....on a 3yd out. He has not touch. Nor has he learned any improvement. You can blame the coaches...but at some point...how many coaches do you go through...before you blame the player?

If they went away from Vick as their quarterback, they are making a big mistake. Falcons receivers simply cannot catch the ball. It isn't a case of sometimes, or just important plays, or a dropped pass here and there, these guys drop everything. It's like watching football follies. Schaub, in the time he has played, has completed something like 50-52% of his passes? Maybe both of these guys should be starting...... on another team.
As for the topic at hand, Vick is an idiot to get caught doing something so foolish. Must be taking lessons from Bam Morris and Nate Newton.

Okay, one question. You are willing to give Vick a waiver, since his recievers suck. But yet you then throw out Schaub's completion percentage as a reason not to go to him. Uh......anyone else think this doesn't make sense??

Oh, and lets not even think of the argument a good QB can use whatever recievers he has and make them work....ala Brady, Brees, even McNabb.

Too true.

Funniest part of Cowherd was when he said okay, I am going to give you two guys from the same family. One is 26, the other 22, and then listed their rap sheets for the last two years. Guess who the 26 and 22 year olds were. No peaking.

There you go misunderstanding me again. That was for those who are stuck on thinking Schaub could do any better passing the ball to this group of clowns. He is supposedly the better passer in many people's eyes, yet his stats don't show anything better at all. And with him, you lose the run threat. I just can't see how he can be considered an upgrade at all.

What needs to be fixed in Atlanta is the receiving. Be it players, or coaching. That is where the problem lies.

Then we will have to continue to disagree. Because most of us, seem to be able to realize that regardless of if he had recievers or not, Vick is not a good QB, nor will they ever win a superbowl with him. It won't happen. At least, not at Qb.

Guess the Schaub talk can die down again as not evidence of drugs was found in the compartment of the water bottle.

Was it in fact a false bottom? Last report I was hearing was that it was a storage compartment, like something that was actually made that way. Not sure though.

Could be some newly designed sport bottle with a place for supplements. Just a guess.
